still pissed at the horrible service they gave you.. If you buy a car like that here in germany you get treated like a King and it will be presented perfectly They were like yeah whatever dude heres your car just gonna talk a bunch a shit park it outside, rev the engine in front of you and throw the plate on the paint Crazy😂
This is the same set up I have now, I moved my rear 275s to the front and added 295s in the rear. Much better looking and never had a range issue. Took many trips from San Francisco to Yosemite, Carmel, Mendocino, etc. Plenty of Super Chargers everywhere. I think 305s in the rear might look even better but I want to be able to rotate tires. I just ordered Martian rims 19x9 and I will put four 275/45/19s in an ev specific all season tire. No more curb rash with this set up. This should look great with a lot less unsprung weight gaining significant range and faster 0-60 time while looking way better than the stupid stretched tires. Add the white interior and you really have a clown car to my eye, like an LA nail salon inside the car with goofy tires!
The stuff that you add to the back of the pad survives after a track day.? Everything I use gets burnt off, so they recommend not using anything to prevent ash built-up.
Actually that video made fall in love with Tesla even more 😂. I like consistency and I don‘t care if one or 1 billion people drive the same car. Huge fan of the minimalistic design. 😅
Great video on one of favorite cars. One question: why go through the possibility of damaging the car trying to force the strut out when you are removing the control arms later on? It is much safer to remove the entire wheel assembly and the strut out and away from the car and work in a safer environment. Also exercise safety and never have a compressed coil spring pointed in one's direction.
Never seen a grown man whine and cry over small things. I’ve got 45k on my model y and still love it. Against the competition, it’s provided more miles per full charge and storage had no limits
I ve just had another look at this. And actually the plastic used in these side skirts is a perfect match for the colours used on the OEM decal Carrera t that runs along the doors amd the front splitter. It actually looks really good.
About to do this for my cars, this was an immensely helpful video. I already had the roof and garage door situation figured out, but you gave so many other tips here and there that will save my butt and help me make the right choices with the equipment I'm choosing. Thank you very much!
Tommy you did it again , thanks for T’ng up my next mod ! Been pondering these too for my T. Agree 100% carbon fiber non starter on our Ts, didn’t know Rennline had these in ABS -plastic , must be recent ???
Nooo, not on mine. Mine looks a bit different than yours. I have 2023 mdl Y and it comes to a point more than yours I think. I snugged it up till I heard plastic starting to crack. I put the detector on and started adjusting and it just dropped. I tried again and snugged it down a bit more but not much. Not worth cracking the plastic. But the kit is an excellent kit. Much better quality than I was expecting.
Great tutorial Tommy. You're right you can't unsee it. I think they would look better if they were paint matched the same yellow as the car. That would make your Carrera T unique. Food for thought.
Thank you for the feedback. Since my front and rear pieces are not color matched, I left them like this. But I agree if everything was color matched, it would be great.
cant you add gt3 side skirts or is yours too narrow on body type. on my 991.2 i added oem porsche gt3 skirts painted in body colour, looked great as i hate maxton stuff or other third party ones
@@TommyLGarage oh did it not work on yours. mine went on perfect really easy straight swap no fitment issues as its porsche. i had it ppf as well so helps keep stone chips off the arches
@@TommyLGarageMi się bardzo podoba! Bardzo lubię twoje videos! 4 tygodnie temu kupiłem 991.2 4GTS..i twoje videos będą mnie dużo kosztowały! Dzięki za twoje pomysły! Gdybyś kiedyś miał pomysł który potrzebuje CNC maszynowanie, daj znać .. mam 5-Axis maszyny
Ive been between these or the Maxton design ones. I just dont know how i feel about the front section coming out like the rear. Regardless, great video!
Have been looking for side skirts forever, while these look great the fitment from the manufacturer could have been better for what you pay. It makes one wonder what car they used for making these. In anycase thanks for your usual tips and pro tips!! Appreciate all you have shared and the work you put into your content!
@@TommyLGarage Bending the tabs down underneath, they could have provided replacement clips. Rear flap, they could have done better fitment imho, again for that price. Or molded that end piece into the skirt. Compared to other solutions, I have to give to them though until someone does a better job, or V1.1.
Having to superglue the rear flap to the body is a bit risky no? What happens if you have to remove the flap one day? Will the superglue pull the paint?
I think that until Audi makes an RS6 sedan, this is just another apples to oranges comparison. Give the S6 all the RS bits and make another review, I think it would be a much better review.
I get the same 'oh face' shifting gears in my 997.2 C4S. Thank god the warranty covered the turbo! Wow that would a big bill to absorb! I work on all my own Porsches too...lift in the shop, etc. Like you I clean and ensure every bolt that came with the car is there when I am done! Unacceptable the things you found! Now, it was warrantied so I would just fixed these small items. That oil feed pipe may need to be replaced? Good stuff. I want one of these .2 T's bad!
Hate my tesla Model Y. Poor quality. I will not buy it again. Great technology . Tesla should stop selling car and sell software to car companies like BMW. I regret it !
