Thank you Dr Cody! I’m 60 and have a spine problem- kyphoscoliosis which is catching up with me now I’m getting older and affecting my breathing. Sometimes my ribs feel like they’re jammed up and I can’t get a deep breath. That starts to cause me anxiety. I was looking on RU-vid to see if I could find something to help and came across this channel. I’m very glad I did, as the exercise you’ve demonstrated worked like a charm even though I must confess to being a bit sceptical beforehand😊 I’m very pleased that I have discovered your channel and look forward to exploring the other videos on the channel. Many thanks for the excellent video!
@@sgooding8138 I’m so glad you found us! Sometimes it’s the simple techniques that make the biggest difference 🙌🏼 Let us know if you need anymore help with breathing better!
Hi thanks your expertise is so good for me as found them very good thanks so much I will keep doing them as they are doing me very good cheers thank you so much
Thank you so much for sharing this video I will be doing these exercises. I know there is no cure for COPD but exercises will sure help to manage it. So very much appreciated 👏 ❤❤❤
Very many thanks indeed Michelle! These quad exercises are excellent and just what I need as my quads really do need strengthening. I do PR exercises daily and some include quads, but yours are exactly what I need. Much appreciated 😊
Hello Captain Adams 7569. Yes I would recommend these in addition to your cardio, as this routine is strength training for the quad while cardio focuses on cardiovascular endurance and heart health. So, a different focus, but all exercise is good exercise. Most people under train flexibility and strength, and over train cardio, but as long as your remaining active, that is the key. Good luck and thank you for your question!
Good luck Lydia! Respect the body first, and do a little more each day. I have had some patients with sciatica have their symptoms improve with this protocol and the piriformis stretch. But do get with your doc for official medical advice and PT for your back if needed. Wishing you the best!
Thank you Michele awesome video it helps to have someone with a kind calming voice to talk us through the breathing exercise this helps so much background music make me more stressed I don't know why ? as they do on other you tube videos I do appreciate them trying to helping but a kind caring and calming voice make a big difference for me. I have asthma and vocal cord dysfunction and I love this video. I will go look at your other videos. watching from Georgia
Whatever your doctor suggests. We have many patients in our clinics that do exercises on oxygen and a lot that do it without oxygen too, just depends on their blood oxygen saturation upon exertion.
Hi Michele! I have been. Doing this exercise for three months now and have seen an improvement in my posture and breathing. I have bronchiectasis and have breathing problems and lots of coughing. I have more energy and can climb the stairs with less SOB. Thanks for these breathing exercises 👍
Hi Margaret! I'm so happy for your benefits, and you cannot imagine the joy our team gets by helping people like you achieve similar benefits in our clinic. Wish we could work with you one on one. But if you can't make it to our clinic in Sugar Land, TX, know that we've heard the call of wonderful people like you who are struggling with pulmonary issues, and we are trying to produce more videos to help. Stay tuned, Good Luck, and God Bless!
I feel like fate brought me here. I have a rare neuromuscular condition called LEMS. Lambert Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome. 17 years of weak muscles and other issues and the worst of it is very shallow breathing at night. I use a CPAP but it doesn’t always seem to work well and I end up with low oxygen and high co2. I’m in a bad patch right now and have been feeling defeated and unmotivated. Then this video randomly popped up on my feed and there you were! And your personality and genuine enthusiasm and passion shone through immediately. I did my first set of exercises right then and there! Do you have any other videos for someone like me? My respiratory muscles are my worst issue.
We're so glad this video helped you! Our specialty is assisting people who have respiratory issues and are short of breath. We expect to create more videos at the end of this year or the beginning of next year.
I can't say enough good things about the Breathing center they have taught me so many good exercises and my quality of life is so much better because of their guidence.
