Hi, you have to split images to be used in any software. Most people use "Meshroom split images" tool. I found a tutorial: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ErrxjzD7MNM.html
I just can't get it to work, even with all green ticks. Seems to be a problem with the .NAV file upload for me. I have downloaded RINEX files from OS, and that's all that are available when asked to upload .NAV files. Confusing!
Hi, if you are using outdated Rinex 2.11 format for base station, please selecting both, *24n and *24g to merge them. If you are still struggling, please contact our support team redcatch.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new
I have a question, see if you can help me please. I need to do post processing and the output height has to be the geoid. I'm from Brazil and here they use the Mapgeo2015 software that converts heights to the geoid according to the Brazilian Geodesic System. What would be the recommendation? Do I process the ellipsoid normally using Redtoolbox and then manually convert the heights of the photos to the geoid according to the Brazilian geodesic system? Thanks a lot! www.ibge.gov.br/geociencias/informacoes-sobre-posicionamento-geodesico/servicos-para-posicionamento-geodesico/10855-modelo-de-ondulacao-geoidal.html
Hi, don't know if I understand your question correctly, so I do my best: PPK has nothing to do with RTK eventually turned on during the flight. PPK is a new coordinate and flight path calculation. As long as you have the RINEX and trigger files (for DJI drone its *.bin/*.obs/*.24o and *.MRK file), you can perform PPK using base station information.
hello! i have some question. is it working on multispectral data from DJI mavic 3 Multispectral? because in this case (on the video) its rgb images. thank you
Hi, you can PPK the rgb photos in REDtoolbox, but not the multi-spectral bands. DJI does not provide the precise trigger information for those bands. (FYI: Image coordinates of multi-spectral are not the same as the rgb photo coordinates. There is an undefined delay, so spatial shift for those bands).
Good evening, congratulations on the video. One question: with this software can post-process semi-kinematic surveys be carried out, also called "Stop and Go"?
Thank you for this question. REDtoolbox aims on geotagging images from different sensors, like Mavic 3, P4RTK, L2 rgb, Autel, Emlid, etc but is not designed for "classic" survey tasks like Emlids the Stop and Go method. best regards,

Hi, Agisoft provides a good download page with common worldwide and national geoids which can be used in REDtoolbox for PPK processing. www.agisoft.com/downloads/geoids/
I'm trying to purchase REDToolBox but it's not working well on my computer, I even sent an email asking for help, today it's past the testing period but the main problem is when I define the image folder it says it's loading but it gets stuck , I've left it for hours and it doesn't load, on an acquaintance's computer it installed it and it worked fine.
Hello thank you for plugin! But, I'm not clue how should terrain will be designed via Z height for (Approximate base level via AVERAGE of polygon vertices) in Shapefile or Geopackage 1:31 I'm mean how set some terrain slope (blue line) for flat polygon in QGIS?
Hi, I am afraid I can't help you with this. My approach would be getting a "frame grabber" software and importing these frames into blender. But I don't know if blender manages to handle 360 images. I know Metashape and Pix4DMapper who do handle spherical images. best regards
Hi, thanks for the tutorials. I still have a question regarding the Antena Phase Center. I have some data using the D-RTK 2 Mobile Station as a base station. It was placed at 150 cm from the ground (distance between the ground and the "Antenna Reference Point"), what option should I use in the settings and what value in each offset? Thanks a lot!
Hi, did you placed the D-RTK2 over a known point? If so, enter these coordinates and add 1.5m as antenna height. If you use a PPP worldwide service like from the Canadian government, then the coordinates are already at APC and no antenna height has to be entered. To summarize: It's depending on your set up. You can contact us and provide more details and we surely find a solution redcatch.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new
Hi. I'm a Redtollbox user and was wondering if there was a way to PPK the images from a Zenmuse L2. DJI Terra doesn't offer a solution to this issue, so images from the Zenmuse L2 won't work for proper photogrammetric workflow unless doing some manual adjustments. I would be happy to provide some datasets.
*** UPDATE *** We found a solution to PPK the photos of DJI L2. Right now it's a small workaround but we will implement in upcoming version. Contact us and we show you how: redcatch.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new
Hi friends, when I finished the process appear the next error "Error during PPK processing Fatal Integer Errror" What is happen here? . The archives are from Zenmusse P1 + e-survey Base station
Hi, could you please submit a ticket for our support team, maybe containing the dataset? redcatch.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new First 5 images, drone and base PPK data would be perfect for testing/fixing. Thank you
Yes - Our clients put it on the release wish list :) REDtoolbox 3.1 now supports geoid files which are provided in geotiff *.tif format. See the other video how it works. Best regards
interesting video. for capturing in-house data from existing buildings, can we use only the system's IMU (due to lack of GPS signal)? is there any test results?
Hi, the system is designed to do outdoor photogrammetry. We had success indoor, by taking RTK georeferenced images outdoor and combine them with the indoor photos (continouse recording). Try to "connect" the images eg. taken at (opened) windows between indoor and outdoor. So you can georeference indoor using outdoor RTK information. ONLY indoor is not possible with GNSS. Best regards
Very useful tool, thanks for sharing! I was wondering: if no base DEM or manually set base level are provided by the user, is there a way to know what elevation value the plugin used as base for the cut&fill calculation (i.e. when approximate base level via AVERAGE is used). Thanks!
Thank you :) Thats a great idea, we will write the "used height" for each polygon into attribute table so you will know. We are working on other stuff (REDtoolbox) right now, so it will take some time but we will integrate. cheers
I purchased the software 1 year license with upgrade. would there be an option to create the data for DJI TERRA? It builds only for Metashape and PIX4d I don't do work in RTK, for signal reasons.
Hi from Russia. To get the most realistic 3D model, I recommend exporting the results of aerial triangulation (aligned block of cameras in the Blocks Exchange *.xml format) from Metashape to the Bentley Context Capture (BCC) program and do further processing in BCC.
With the M300 and the P1, does one need to specify the differential between the RTK sensors of the drone and the P1 image sensor to get an accurate elevation map? My maps are all about 0.2 m too low and my hunch is that this is caused by the differential between the image sensor and the RTK sensor. Please let me know if I am wrong.
@@redcatchgmbhteammember3229 Thank you for the clarification. I am not sure about your first point. For the second point, would the P1 not being calibrated cause a systematic shift of approximately 0.2 m downwards in the vertical? How does one calibrate the camera? I can confirm I applied the geoid model. Thank you for your help with this.
Hi, please contact us www.redcatch.at/contact/ and let us know you company details. Maybe we can arrange a "rental" period for a small fee. Best, REDcatch team
iOS is not supported as for "normal" developers required permissions and features are permitted. So no, not now and not in near future. We recommend get a second-hand Android 10+ device. Best REDcatch team
I am stuggeling to find the .mrk and .bin files. We use the DJI M300 combined with a DJI Zenmuse XT2 Thermalcamera. I found a Folder with "FlightRecord" of each flight we conducted. But these files are .txt. Is there a way to convert it to .mrk?
Hi, no distrubutor right now. But you can purchase directly from us. We're located in Austria, near Innsbruck so shipping is no problem. Can you contact us directly and send your company details (including VAT FRxxxx number?) www.redcatch.at/contact/ Thank you
