Great plugin for QGIS. Congratulations! But I have done a test (v.03) and when selecting the option "Approximate base level via AVERAGE of polygon vertices" (result 59 million m3) and "LOWEST Point: Use minimum height of polygon vertices" (result 20 million m3) the results are correct but should be inverted with their corresponding method. Cheers

Checked it and made some changes in v.04. Thanks for sharing your experiences

@@REDcatchGmbH Very grateful for the speed in correcting the code. Very useful for calculating the volume of the new eruption of La Palma (Canary Islands). Cheers

Hello thank you for plugin! But, I'm not clue how should terrain will be designed via Z height for (Approximate base level via AVERAGE of polygon vertices) in Shapefile or Geopackage 1:31 I'm mean how set some terrain slope (blue line) for flat polygon in QGIS?

Sorry Sir, I want to calculate the submarine landslide volume. I have multibeam data.tif and shp shape of the landslide, but when I tried to calculate the volume using this plugin, it did not work, can u help me?

Do the DEM Height Layer and the DEM Base Layer have to be in meters? Or can you change the units somehow? Both of my layers are in feet and the log shows results in m3. I am just wondering if there is the potential for errors in the calculations.

Very useful tool, thanks for sharing! I was wondering: if no base DEM or manually set base level are provided by the user, is there a way to know what elevation value the plugin used as base for the cut&fill calculation (i.e. when approximate base level via AVERAGE is used). Thanks!

Thank you :) Thats a great idea, we will write the "used height" for each polygon into attribute table so you will know. We are working on other stuff (REDtoolbox) right now, so it will take some time but we will integrate. cheers

Danke für das Video. Ich hab eine grundlegende Frage: Wie erstelle ich denn ein DEM aus bereits eingepflegten Geländepunkten?

hello. I want to know the unit of type of volume calculation -sampling step size.
@REDcatchGmbH

Unit's are the same as used in your coordinate system. Displayed [m³] are wrong if you are using inch. We do not recalculate or convert units. best

Just out of curiosity, have you noticed results varying by a large number compared to results in Arcmap? I have compared results between the volume tool in Arcmap and they differ by a large margin
