You might have been forgiven for misspelling his name once, but it is hilarious that you still haven't managed to get it right even when presumably making an especial effort. It's LYTTELTON.
Not sure what a Del Amitri song has to do with Phil Collins. The audience obviously thought they knew, mistaken as they were. Never understood why people seemed happy that one of the best ever British drummers was unable to play the drums any more.
Such a shame Rik and Ade never did more comedy. There was talk in about 2013 of a series based on Bottom Live 3 called Hooligan's Island but nothing happened. Ade wanted to do that one set in an old age home years later but, of course, Rik died. You should never take it for granted that you're still going to be here years down the line. Bottom, their most adult work, spawned 3 series, a movie and 5 live shows so who knows what amazing works they could have produced.
Sometimes on a saturday i look for these type of shows on the radio , takes me back to Adrian juste on a saturday in the 70s or Steve Wright in the afternoon in the 80s
They would not get away with the "picaninny" gag in current Cancel Culture regardless of no intent to refer to the true meaning and usage of the word. The black players would not be offended but the professional-offence-takers-on-somebodies-behalf would.
