Yes, me and my wife are very interested in where we can purchase the 380 for her and I’m like the Taurus 740 all the guns demonstrated, wouldn’t be wrong iwith any of them can you all use the company that supplies you weapons?
I am a die hard .357 Magnum guy 💯. But $30,000 for the .500 Magnum cylinder❗😵. The gun itself $10,000❗Even with money I wouldn't buy it or except the gun if someone else bout it for me.
Another takedown gun you should have included is the CVA Scout V2 Takedown. Granted, it's only a single-shot rifle, but it's an inexpensive stainless steel takedown rifle available in a wide range of hunting calibers including 300 Blackout, 350 Legend, 44 Magnum, 45-70 Government, etc. with most (or maybe all) calibers having threaded barrels, and several of these calibers are legal for hunting in states with straight-wall cartridge hunting restrictions.
You should have included the Taylor's (Chiappa) 1892 Alaskan Takedown rifles, which are available in 44 Magnum and 357 Magnum, in 16" or 20" barrels, in threaded or unthreaded barrels, in capacities of 10, 7, or 5 (depending on the barrel length and threading configuration), and with straight stocks or so-called (but not really) "pistol-grip" stocks. Some come with a forward scout rail, and all can accept a forward scout rail. They used to also make them in 45 Colt, but now they make them only in 357 or 44 Magnum.
Get a 357 magnum performance center competitor is around $1600 and you have the best shooting revolver in the world. And out of the $9,000 you still got lots of money to get a 357 magnum taurus 608 revolver with 8 rounds
I’ve had my 740 for 12 years, it still looks and shoots as if it were brand new despite eating an easy 1000+ rounds over time. Has never had a single hiccup, shame they stopped making them as it is most definitely one of the best-made guns taurus has ever put out in regards to quality and reliability. The only gripes I’ve ever had are it’s tiny little mag release that takes a solid push to drop freely, and the fact that magazines became increasingly hard to find within years of the guns release…as of today, you can only find a sparse few 6 rounders on ebay/mom and pop shops for outrageous prices. The fabled 8 rounder has been elusive for over a decade :(. Great gun in any case, still a part of my carry rotation, has outperformed guns I paid three times as much for. Ironically not as many good things were said about the 709 :s.
:) at 70, I would rather reach for my Ruger 556 AR-15, than one of my hand guns. For some reason, I am much more confident I will destroy my target using a long gun.
