This channel covers topics like Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Power BI, Python, Data analysis tools & techniques.
I just found your channel today and sir you are absolutely doing a fantastic job. I am planning to make a switch into data analysis role and I had faced this date conversion error. Will surely try if these steps helps! Subscribed ❤

Hi, the dashboard and the entire video was excellent. I learned a lot of new things. But I didn't understand the data. can anybody please explain to me what the data actually means? What are time bands? what is total here, does it mean the number of days waited? what are the archive dates?
Really glad you liked the content ! The data contains Patient Waiting List for a group of hospitals in Ireland. Archive date is just giving us the waiting list status on a particular date. Total is the total number of patients and Time band is the time they have been in the wait list for getting a certain treatment. Hope this helps!
@@pivotalstats thank you so much for replying! It makes a lot more sense to me now. I just wanted to say that you are one of the few Indian youtubers I follow for data. Not only are your explanations very in-depth, the production quality of your videos is also excellent, on par with alextheanalyst and ken jee. Thank you for producing such high quality content.
@@pivotalstats another thing that I wanted to ask- why are there several rows showing data for the same archive date? are these rows coming from different hospitals cause they seem identical. can you please link the original data source?
Thanks, ill look into it on why folding is not happening. My guess is that mquery engine is not completely updated to accommodate all functions in all database systems. Microsoft might have implemented this for selected functions from each database systems.
Until 29 minutes of video, it was working fine, But whenvideo is at 29mins + some seconds it is showing blurred video, its foggy, its not showing the screen of the powerbi video, Why like that. After refeshing the browser, the youtube window went into default mode, it is clearly visible now. I got it, When I the youtube video in full screen mode its blurry, I figured it out that when the youtube video is in default view then it is clear. Thanks
Hi, it seems you might have made a spelling mistake somewhere in query. Can you copy the query from the link that i provided in description and try again.
Oh Great Tutorial For PowerBI Students. But i have problems to typing the Formulas, if any videos Regarding PowerBI formulas. I will be grateful. Thanks
Hi, thank you again for the great video. In my work, after creating the reference table ("Mapping age group"), in model view there is no connection between Via Age. Don't know why? I followed the exact path and rechecked. PS: I manually made a connection between them in model view, now I am getting correct results. This isn't incorrect, right?
@@pivotalstats thank you, still working on the project. Now half way is done. ☺️ Thank you once again, and highly appreciate your great contribution. 👏
Great Video!! Loved creating this dashboard along with the video. Just one doubt, I'm not able to sort the x-axis in bar diagram, the time band is not getting sorted on the x-axis of that bar diagram as you've shown in the report. I tried creating a new index column where i calculated the values as if timeband "0-3",1, if timeband "3-6",2...."7". But it is throwing circular dependency error while sorting the timeband column with this newly created index column. Could you/someone please share how can we sort the axis properly?
Awesome. Instead of creating a index column, create a new table with unique timebands and sorting index. Relationships will automatically establish with ur main table. Then u can use timeband from this new column. Hope this helps!
Hi, thank you for sharing this awesome project! I am unable to load the data to Jupyter notebook at ML step. Got this PermissionError: PermissionError: [Errno 13] Permission denied:'C:\\Users\\Home\\iCloudDrive\\Documents\\coding_temple\\projects\\customer_churn' Do you know what's wrong with this?
Hi, There was not blanks in specialty name in the data. So I think you must have missed the step where we renamed the Specialty column. If you don't do this step then while appending both Inpatient & Outpatient data, power bi will create a new column and hence you will have blank values.
My stack column chart is showing the value of both 18+month as well as 18month+ even though I have filtered out all them in power query editor...please tell as this is the project I have decided to add on my resume
Yes you are right it gives a date but it enables us to get to a month in any direction. Now if you observe in our data, all our dates are the last day of each month. So we can use this to easily get 12 months back to get Previous Year data.
Hi, no i think you might have referred to a different year . In the video we are using the year 2022 and 1st Jan 2022 is showing as 7, which is correct because it was a Saturday. Hope this helps!
Hi, the reason why I chose to add Median as well is because I observed that few of the wait list in certain specialty have very high numbers and this can result in a skewed analysis if we consider only Average. Also if you notice we did add Total in our dashboard which is the first 2 metrics on the top left. And since all numbers are interconnected we can see Total numbers at any level.
Hi, you can create your own custom sorting on charts. I have shown this on how to do this in an end-end data analytics project. Check it out if you like: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QFDslca5AX8.html
Really glad you liked the video. You can follow the entire series and each video in the series has the data link in the description. Hope this helps! Also check out this power bi dashboard designing course ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G8ikAJele_s.htmlsi=UbFew7c0sT5Fxb2B
Glad you like it. Its more like a pivot table in excel because if you notice, we have an option to apply aggregation like sum etc. and also summarize the data.
Hi, trust me, no one can memorize all of them at the first go. Use this video as a reference guide. After using these a couple of times, you will automatically know which dax to use in which scenario.
