I KID YOU NOT I WATCHED THIS EXACT VIDEO WHEN I WAS LIKE 9 OR SOMETHING AND IT WAS SO IMPORTANT AND SPECIAL TO ME IT HAS STAYED IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD FOR YEARS NOW AND I FINALLY FOUND IT TODAY. I FINALLY FOUND THE VIDEO THAT INSPIRED ME FOR THE LAST 7-8 YEARS OF LIFE OMG DUDE THIS IS SO COOL
@@mixelstuff9331 I literally ended up rewatching this entire movie today. Dude. It's so beautifully made, and the messages hit so hard Gosh I love this movie.
It's cutesy, almost disgustingly so. Like you said, the story is the most rehashed of tropes, but it's done in a very genuine way that you will allow it to play out..... until it falls apart when they are caught and tried. That aside, the world-building was novel (The dentist scenes), and the comedy of all the bad things happening to that one family (They were undeserving of the suffering, despite the film arguing otherwise). Overall: Story: 4/10 Presentation: 8.5/10
Hiiiiiiiiiiiii, I came across you when I was looking for something on Birdboy and since I was pleasantly surprised I decided to watch most of your videos. Thanks to which I discovered Liz to Aoi Tori and Ernest & Celestine. So I wanted to say thank you for that and wish you the best of luck. Plus, I wonder if you have any plan to continue making your videos?
Hey thanks im glad you liked my liz section, I actually really liked making that video, and yes I do plan on making more videos and also streaming here on YT. More anime and variety content about media I like.
Tubby deserved his death, because he betrayed his father by accepting adultery from his mother, he betrayed his brother by helping the unicorn that was the cause of his misfortune and above all he betrayed his race by supporting the unicorns.
What an incredible review, I didn’t think about how the the kindness and good of the unicorns would’ve combined with the the selfishness of bears to create man - it brings everything together and makes the ending that much better. Amazing work :))
I agree with the idea of humanity being the culmination of all these conflicting entities and ideals. The last unicorn devolves into this fucked up mess of a creature and only when all 3 are absorbed does it change into something new and consistent. We as humans are that mad blob. I am curious though about the involvement of the apes. They're present and mentioned, but by the end, they follow the first human like he is their new god. One can speculate on their meaning. Like if they represent man's dominion over the natural world or perhaps how they will ultimately repeat many of the same cycles as the bears have
The apes were definitely the most confusing thing in the movie, the "new God" thing makes sense the movie had a bunch of religious aspects to it. Thanks for watching
Another fact about this animation I guess is about the law enforcement dogs. To me, they don't seem to be like gaurd or shepherd dogs, but hunting dogs as well. I'm not sure what this means or not even sure that is portraying something or not, but I just guessed this fact about the movie.
i loved this movie so much and i’m SO SAD about the fandom being next to nonexistence and that i didn’t find out about it in time to see the sequel also ernest is hot
Fr where is the fandom for this masterpiece??? This kills me everyday lol I regret learning about it so late im just glad the sequel is on Amazon prime
I'm a grandfather of a four year-old boy and his year-old sister. Just this morning I discovered Ernest and Celestine. Probably just right for the boy... and maybe because he will concentrate on watching it... his little sister just might want to copy him. The artwork is great. Also, we have a daughter and son (in-law) who have lived in Paris for seven years and they visit twice a year and we all love those times. Bears and mice seem to do well in a talented illustrator's pencils and paint brushes. Thanks for your critique.
Let me just say, the English dub is PHENOMENAL. The voice actress who played Celestine in the dub, MacKenzie Foy, was just 12 years old when she recorded her lines.
Hey @mixelstuff, I think that this account plagiarized you basically word for word, maybe even choosing the same clips as you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qy6BfrwPJh8.html
I watched this yesterday for the first time, on a free streaming website. I will buy it now though since this movie surprised me, it's such a masterpiece and it deserves ALL the support and recognition it can get
One of my favorite movie of all time, earnest is a very fitting name for a protagonist, because this movie has such a warm and honest feeling. I very highly recommend it.
