Y'all heard what the taxes would be without the tax abatement, right? 15k a year, and that's NOW. What'll the taxes be by the time you sell? Just something to keep in mind in these areas.
@@MizJilly Cleveland does have high taxes. The tax abatement is great but since there are low taxes for 15 years, the price of the property is usually higher. Thats because when you get a loan, it’s the monthly payment that buyers are worried about.
I lived in on Madison and Lake avenues over the years and with my Raleigh Record it was a great place to bicycle from Edgewater to the Rocky River marina and everything in between. It was a great time in my life to live in Lakewood in my twenties and early thirties. Also it’s more affordable than the east side.
For your next video about Akron dont forget the Goodyear Blvd. area they have redone the Linda theater and the old post office is now the Afterlife cafe and stage they have local bands on Fridays and Saturdays.
Ohio funds millions into criminals the worst of the worst cleveland ohio is beyond dangerous and staged to the max folks forget if they have work or kids in school its not safe once these normal folks see its all fraud and criminals they leave
If you have a family, CH is the WORST place you can live on the east side. If you want your property to appreciate, CH is not where you want to buy. Are you a college student or a resident in one of the many massive hospital systems? If so, rent a house and then move literally anywhere else in NE OH when you can afford it.
You didn’t mention diversity at all. Diversity in culture, religion, sexuality. We raised our kids in Cleveland Heights on the east side, and it was quite diverse in all those things…loved it!
Couple other nice things, Blossom is close by, so you can access it for concerts or the Cleveland Orchestra concert series. You mention Brecksville Reservation, but there is also excellent access to the Cuyahoga Valley which is the far bigger attraction. There are also a ton of farmers markets and orchards to the south in places like Richfield, while just to the North in Parma there are a ton of butchers, ethnic restaurants, and churches that hold various festivals (such as Greek, Ukrainian, Russian, and German festivals). Also, this new "Valor Acres" is going in next to the new Sherwin Williams research facility - we'll see how that turns out, but maybe it'll make the area a bit more lively in terms of retail and restaurants - I'm not 100% sold on it, but we'll see! The great accessibility is on point. It's kinda surprising, but access to places like Tremont, Ohio City, and Downtown is far more convenient than it'd be from comparable suburbs far out on the Westside or Eastside. It's practically almost as convenient as going there from Lakewood with 490... same with getting to University Circle or the UH/ Cleveland Clinic area with the Opportunity Corridor. Finally, maybe it's just my imagination, but at my location in Broadview, we always seem to have a nice breeze (especially in the evenings)... maybe it is due to the fact that it is hillier here and we're at a higher elevation. It's not as windy as this, but it's kind of like when you a couple of blocks from Lake Erie and get a nice breeze off of the lake. I've lived everywhere in the area and it just feels windier here, instead of stagnant like you get as you head to the Westside. We get a bit more snow than the Westside, but no where as bad as the Eastside in the snowbelt. You even get some nice glimpses of the Cleveland Skyline off in the distance at some of these higher elevation points when you're driving around.
South side is the best side! Broadview and Brecksville have top schools as well - you missed those. You missed parks access too - Cuyahoga Valley, Metroparks, Mentor Headlands, etc.
Tremont used to be called Lincoln Heights then it became the Southside now it's Tremont I grew up there. Not a very good place to live you don't know who's coming in there now. And the click it's pretty much fractured, so you got nobody for your back

Fairview Park has flooding issues due to the sewers being clogged. also, the pool at the rec center has been shut down for like 3 years and it's not getting fixed because people want the sewers fixed first
