How do you pronounce Parejeda? It's a word I made up and I say it Pear-Ray-Jet-Duh :)
Located in the beautiful city of Seattle, WA! #SeattleRU-vid
how impulsive can it be when you literally have all the appropriate tools and "ingredients"... like down to the metal holder thingy. I usually just use bobby pins
because even though no one is mad at her, throwing around “intrusive thoughts” incorrectly isn’t good. intrusive thoughts are horrible most of the time, she meant to say impulsive.
Honestly who gives a hell if she used intrusive wrong its a word you guys need to calm down. I also get them yes they are horrible but it truly is not that deep.
As someone who suffers from intrusive thoughts, i genuinely dont care when people use it in a humorous way, it makes something usually dark and heavy into something to chuckle at, really dont understand being offended over this joke. Shes not belittling the word.
She's not using it in a funny way though ? She's misunderstanding the meaning of the word and others are telling her the correct meaning (sometimes they go about it the wrong way and instead of calmly explaining they get mad :/)
these are IMPULSIVE thoughts. you're part of the problem and are stigmatizing an already over-stigmatized disorder/disability. change it and take down the video, please
I just genuinely don’t understand why people just throw the word around like it’s just something small. Hell, what she did wasn’t even impulsive, just something she was motivated to do.
Right? My intrusive thoughts involve me wondering how long I'd be in the hospital if I drove into that concrete barrier to avoid doing things I don't want to do and the general stress I feel every day. It doesn't feel good hearing people use the term this way.
I'm not even kidding, THANK YOU for making my childhood dream come true. I always wanted to do this but just never had the opportunity open to do so. 😢💕
@@user-yl4xb3zg1k it actually is, because true intrusive thoughts are absolutely horrible and dark. Diminishing them to "haha urge to do this silly funky thing" is harmful. It spreads misinformation and helps fuel the stigma against TRUE intrusive thoughts. Intrusive = something along the lines of "shove that stranger onto the train tracks as the train approaches" n you just sit there like wtf brain, meanwhile impulsive= "dying my hair at 3am"
@@user-yl4xb3zg1k TW// MENTION OF TRIGGERING EVENTS/BEHAVIORS it is that deep though :) people look at you weird if you say your intrusive thoughts include things like m*rd3r, p3d0philia, su*c*de, etc. true intrusive thoughts are thoughts that don't align with your morals and ethics, things you'd never do irl. intrusive thoughts are also a symptom of many types of psychological issues, such as PTSD, OCD, Anxiety, etc. and aren't to be confused with impulsive thoughts, which are typically frivolous/silly and are things you *would* actually do irl, regardless of if you act on them in the moment. words mean things!
@@user-yl4xb3zg1k as someone with actual intrusive thoughts, it is. Intrusive thoughts can be terrifying, repulsing, horrible things that make you question if you're secretly a horrible person, not "oh teehee I impulsively did this thing!! :)"
@@user-yl4xb3zg1kjust because you don't think it's not serious, doesn't make it less serious. imagine people use the words su!cide, rap€ and p€dophilia in such a nonchalant, almost in a "cute" way like by saying things "omg my intrusive thoughts 🥰🥰" etc. people would stop taking them seriously as it became with the term "gaslighting". "nothing is that serious babe get over it 🤪🤪" attitude is such an easy one to adapt when you're not the one in actual danger/problem 😘😘💋💋
please don't throw around the term "intrusive thoughts". having an urge to do a craft project is not the same thing, actual instrusive thoughts are very unwanted and harmful. most people don't know this and just use it in a light manner, but i think it is always good to try to educate people 🫧
She defo means IMPULSIVE thought Which even then its not even that An intrusive though: an unwanted, usually graphic thought that ‘intrudes’ on your thinking and disrupts your thought process. E.x. Your going about your business and pass by the kitchen where you get the *Intrusive thought* of cutting off your fingers Impulsive thought: a spur of the moment thought that usually leads right to an impulsive action. E.x. You think “im going to run and jump into my friends arms” then doing such thing without hesitation What the video is: an idea. A regular idea.
most people actually do have instrusive thoughts and many of them feel embarassed for having them, because they don't know what they are. people that use intrusive instead of impulsive actually demonize them even more by calling something dump but fairly normal "intrusive thought"
@@blablablagfzrgf6238woa, most other people have thoughts that would get them seriously hurt if acted upon?? most other people are neurodivergent and mentally ill? i didnt know.
I just found you, but this has always been my favorite show (the Tribbles) So of course I am going to have to have this Thank you and can't wait to see more of your video's
