I did a project like this once and I used green frog tape to make clean straight lines. Once the lower layer of paint is dry, you can layer frog tape on top and it won't pick up the paint. Really cool project! So happy to see more videos :D

OH! Another thing you might want to try out in the future is spray vinyl dye. It will permanently dye the shoe and look like factory made. You can use your Cricuit and make patterns with sticky back vinyl then spray the dye over it. When you peel off the vinyl you have some super cool looking shoes, coat or whatever that will last forever! :D
@@parejeda Yeah! You can use Dupli-Color or VHT brand vinyl dye. Amazon has it as well as most automotive stores. :) If you try it though, go easy with it. It's not at all like paint. It sprays out of the can like water and spreads fast. Best to do some tests on a scrap of vinyl from the craft store before you take it to the final project ;)
