16:46 Traditions should change. That being said, the bull is not very aggressive from the get go, and a full strength bull can be absolutely devastating. In order to weaken and slow down the bull, there are a few processes before the actual bullfight, which include secluding the bull in a dark room and not giving him food, which makes it violent, while also giving him salt and subsequently a ton of water so the bull becomes sluggish, among other things. Sadly, bullfights are simply not a good time for the bull whether they are finished off at the end or not because of all the abuse they go through beforehand. And without that, bulls will simultaneously be too deadly, and too peaceful to even try to do something unless you actually go out of your way to provoke it.
21:00 I think the goldfish they are talking about is the one from episode 77. Super large goldfish the giants Dorry and Broggy had to charge up and kill so the ship could go through. He was telling them stories, it was probably one of them and then they say the fish are related. It was called an island eater.
13:34 well, at least this arc is proving Alicia's memory is better than some have given her credit for 😅. Dressrosa is indeed The Arc of a million plot points. It's honestly impressive you remembered that many off the top of your head. Most people need a flowchart the keep track of all this crap
Ussop claiming that his haki is what is shaking up the island might mean that he is going to be powerful enough to do that if we go by the claim that everything he says becomes truth.
High quality brand name socks like puma are nice but I'm an endurance walker, so not only do my shoes wear out but so do my socks. Most of the time I get cheap off brand athletic socks that I can replace easily like Pro Player
I just realized, Sengoku once said Whitebeard's power could destroy the world. Now that I think about it, Fujitora's power is the same. He could probably cause an extinction level event if he wanted to O.O
They stab the bull during the bullfight, not just at the end. The torero stabs the bull multiple times with shallow pokers, making the bull bleed out, and eventually stabs it with a sword, like really deep, usually leaving it half dead. It's also customary to try and cut the ears and tail as a way to show off the bullfighter's skill. All in all a pretty disgusting tradition that many parties and popular orgs have been trying to ban throughout the years, but the main parties are not too interested or are straight up in favor of it. One of those parties even declared it spanish Cultural Heritage so it's harder to make illegal. The industry is not particularly profitable if not for state funds... So here's hoping that it eventually dies off or changes into something that doesn't require the live torture of a bull.
Yo about bullfights not a professional bullfighter but some knowledge from essays and documentaries in simple ways to explain it we have a aggravated, possibly hungry, and uncontrollably dangerous animal let loose in a stage back in the day they didn't have sedation so best option was to kill them so it slowly became a tradition they weren't the first to do it either fighting dangerous animals were premium entertainment in multiple nations like Romans and Lions or Egyptians with Hippos and Alligators but fr whose wrestling them to submission nah we killing it
Regarding Fujitora's Devil Fruit, remember when I said during Marineford that the names of some Devil Fruits weren't revealed in the manga/anime but in SBS-corner like Akainu's Magu Magu Fruit? Yeah, Fujitora's is similar case, except in this case it was revealed in _Vivre Card One Piece Visual Dictionary_ , the latest databook, meaning I can tell you now its name: Zushi Zushi Fruit(zushi zushi being a Japanese onomatopoeia that describes a "thump" or "thud" sound, representing the footfall of something heavy (e.g. stomps of sumo wrestlers)).
The scene where you feel disinterested in nami and the gangs fight. Is my problem with every person who doesnt understand. The entire anime cant just be fighting. It cant just be one note cause then its boring. Oda is a man who takes you on a journey through stories that break up into parts. Separate stories which come together in a satisfying way. Also this is anime not manga where they are having to stretch scenes to match the manga. Cause the manga doesnt show you them running with every step talking and giving a backstory. Its pretty concise and short in the manga. So yeah be disinterested but know its not for a valid reason. Cause your brainrot and dopamine fix aint being feed every second with "cool fight scenes" there has to be a story
thank you daddy alicia for feeding us nux fans while he's away. ps; if you wanna pick up some details that you maybe missed and stuff, you should check out nux's reactions in your free time since he always overanalyzes the fuck out of these episodes and MAN does overanalysis really pay off with this show.
not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but fujitora's name keeps to the same tradition of color + animal that all the other admirals had, being "purple tiger" like kisaru is "yellow monkey", akainu is "red dog" and aokiji is "blue pheasant"
I feel like at this point Alicia should just watch one pace, at least for this arc. She's already getting tired of the pacing and this ain't even close to the worst in this arc
Or may be just MAY BE sanji cares more for Nami since she is his crew mate and are way more close than violet he just met..??? I really didn't understand from where we reached the conclusion that sanji trusts violet more than nami from such an unrelated topic 😳
About bull fighting: the matador, or guy with red cape, has a sword that he uses to stab at each pass, until the runs out of energy and blood. When the bull crashes of exhaustion its considerred a victory, and thos 4 dudes, they come in to end him more quickly instead of bleeding out. Thats why they do what they do... doesnt make it any better its still a blood sport.
Fujitora is the goat. Why? There are two ways of asserting absolute dominance in anime. "The Dio Method" just fuck with your opponent untill they piss themselves or "The Madara Method" just pull up with a random meteor.
8:30 Silly Alica Luffy's first question after entering the colosseum was if they would be fed. 17:00 The bulls that die in the arena are 'lesser bulls' that are not suitable for breeding or have grown old and weak, also the reason for 'bleeding the bull' is not cultural it's due to the fact that blood loaded with hormones will negatively taint the meats flavor during the butchering process, making it harder to sell and eat.🦉📖
Now, I am not going to ask anyone to agree with bullfighting or not, but with that said, I am intimately familiar with what is known as Tauromaquia (the practice and community of bull fighting here in Mexico) and I can CONFIDENTLY say that the stabbing the bull at the end is not a normal thing that happens normally You have 3 stages Stage 1 - While on Horse, the main fighter uses what is known as "Banderillas" while the clowns (yes, they're called that) distract the bull (mostly for the Horse's health) Stage 2 - the Bull is kited so he tires down significantly so avoid being charged and the bull to jump out of the arena Stage 3 - the 1v1 where the Bull is slayed
