Same thing with Akainu, when he became fleet admiral he “lost” the title and just used his actual name Sakazuki. It makes me wonder what Sengokus admiral name was. It had to be something like golden Buddha.
The fact Doffy dropped the issue with smoker shows the power difference between him and Kuzan. The risk was too high despite the guaranteed problem that would arise from letting Smoker and his unit live.
Spoiler: Truth is, even if he was able to vainquish Kuzan, it would only mean to have Blackbeard on his back; he probably doesn't want another Yonko after him.
@@jibjibs9401 First, Doflamingo himself know the rumors, and probably believe them. Second, Blackbeard probably knew that Kuzan was going at Punk Hazard, wich was broadcasted by Caesar Clown, a known partner of Joker; you do not need to be a genius to make a link between those.
@@RohanW_ No it would not , what are you talking about ? No admiral is close to a yonko by itself, maybe akainu but we don't know since he hasn't done anything after time skip
@@bithemit9074 Akainu and Aokiji are stated to be relative to each other, but Akainu just barely defeated him. I do not think they would defeat Kaido, but it would require at least high difficulty.
@@HMSK-i1l It was the worse way to handle that. Filler is supposed to keep the anime from catching up to the manga, so putting canon stuff in the filler defeats the purpose like OP says.
@@HMSK-i1l Point of filler episodes is being able to just skip those episodes. Not be like "well you gotta watch 18:10->19:20 cuz that is cannon". They could have easily added it at the start of next episode.
@@royalreptile923 I think ya'll misunderstand what fillers are there for The purpose of filler, like it's already been said, is to keep the anime from catching up That's it That's its purpose Don't get me wrong, I don't mind when people skip filler, but it's not being made with the intention of being skipped
Yep. Momo is 8, but Robin and Nami who clearly have zero experience with boys that age treat him like he’s half that. The men know though as they’d been that pervy little boy when they were that age.🤣
@@royalfun1031I had to reread it to get it. @dcaslick is saying Nami and Robin treat Momo like a baby rather than someone who could have started feeling attracted to the opposite sex. But the men (as in Brook, Sanji and Kinemon) recognize Momo for the pervy brat he's being because they were the same at that age.
The filler was about some dude with a Devil Fruit that lets him put collars on people and animals and can force them to do whatever he wants. And it features a Kung-Fu Dugong from Alabasta as the captain of animal pirates.

"Is this a Aokiji vs Doffy episode?" Lol, Doffy is thanking the Gods that it isn't. Why would you want Doffy to get humiliated before he even got the chance to show off xD?
@@Arkayjiya I'm not so sure about that Kuzan is not in his prime after losing to Akainu. Doffy did break free of the ice 90% of what Kuzan does is freeze people. Doffy has conqueror's haki and an awakened devil fruit. Plus when Law mentioned going against Kaido we saw what Doffy looks like when he's scared that wasn't it.
@@fictionjunkie Doffy was breathing hard after breaking out and Kuzan seemingly exerted almost no effort when he was freezing him. If you're caught up to the manga you should know very well that he could annihilate Doffy if he really wanted to.
@@JohnSmith-v4e I mean everybody breathes hard when there's a rapid change in the temperature of the air going into your lungs. I don't know if you live in a place with hard winters but when it's freezing out and you suddenly go into a place that's blasting the heat same thing happens. I am caught up but I don't necessarily agree that proves it. Think about what Doffy is about to do in this arc especially the end he's got things Kuzan doesn't.
Damn she skipped the arc with the Kung Fu Jugong using Haki 😔. This could’ve been the one time we saw someone watch a whole filler arc in one video and I would’ve been fine with it.
Especially since I liked the filler for what it was. And it didn’t spoil anything big like she always assumed filler did after watching the first filler. I get skipping the movie lead up filler until you actually watch the movies, but the regular filler especially from here on out doesn’t spoil a darn thing. It never did much if anything besides the first arc having coincidences.
@@DreamerGalaxius filler usually is nonsensical. It’s almost always a one off story that doesn’t need to tie into anything important. It was a fine filler for what it was. Plus it gave us more law. But I know not everyone will have that opinion.
kuzan is stronger than doflamingo.. that's why doflamingo knows that he can't beat kuzan.. he has the courage to chase law and luffy and then defeat smoker's soldiers and also defeat smoker... but when kuzan came, he didn't fight
Looking back on it, I wish they actually did make a long filler arc because I hated how they butchered the Dressrosa arc in the anime. Easily the worst adapted arc in the show. Adapting canon material in the end of a filler had to be the dumbest thing Toei ever did.
@@civilengineer057 Ah true, having all those flashbacks was so tedious but at least it wasn’t as long as Dressrosa. They also missed the opportunity to adapt the CP9 escaping the Buster Call cover story.
Momonosuke is the shining example of "Why is it all right just because they're children?" And it's a valid point. Let children get away with things, and they'll not see the problem with it when they're adults.
Maybe a bit... not that great of a filler but yeah... Alicia really feels betrayed and burned by the fillers now. Idk, I get her but it think she overreacting what ever they seen dragons before or not, did not feel like big deal to me, and the fact the filer hinted of Zoro cutting iron also did not diminish it for me. ( like come on its Zoro, bros got more cool moments in this show than any of the other MF in this anime, the filler might have taken one... but it was also a good filler ) I think its a bid sad if she stop watching or enjoying One Piece fillers, they not all god but for me One Piece is not just Oda but also the voice actors and the animation. People seem to always overlook all the time and effort made by everyone other than Oda, as if the voice work and dedication to this years long anime wasent worth some rights to makes some goffy side stories.
@@MouseGoatthe only filler I can understand skipping for now is the filler episodes in the middle of Alabasta, but even so, I like those fillers. It even gave us more ace before he died. And also the movie tie in filler to be watched later. But to say all filler is bad or should be skipped because it was ruined from one filler arc to never watch filler again is disheartening. A majority if not all filler I find some enjoyment in.
Oh man, Dressrosa will be a nightmare to go through. It’s the most dragged out arc in the anime. I wouldn’t mind if she watches One Pace for that arc specifically.
Oh come on, its like complaining you have to eat a delicious birthday cake with manners and class, one piece of a time, instead of gulb it all down in one go, like a hungry animal, even if thats what you want. Thats what im thinking when i hear people complain about Dressrosa. people make it sound sooo bad.
@@MouseGoat Because it is that bad dude. The arc is filled with many moments of bad animation and the episodes are dragged on for soo long, with the opening+recaps taking up a large percentage of the episodes. On top of that, they adapted 102 chapters to 118 episodes in the anime. That’s how bad the pacing is.
@@MouseGoat A more apt comparison would be having a glass of perfectly aged wine and diluting it with water to make it last longer. It's great of you enjoyed the slower pace of Dressrosa, it comes down to personal preference, but for me and for most people (from what I see online) the excessive padding was unbearable. It's not like they were adding funny or meaningful moments between the canon scenes, it was literally just Toei making fight clashes or still frames go on for forever.
@@MouseGoat It is that bad. It's one of my favorite arcs, but it still has major issues. It's the arc where the recaps really started to drag out, multiple episodes where over half of the whole episode was recap, and scenes began being dragged out way more and more frequently than before. Of course there is a reason for it, that the anime was beginning to catch up to the manga, but just because there's a reason for them doesn't mean the issues disappear

Punk Hazard is pretty much the only none-lit arc in One Piece. SO NATRULY! XD Im unsure why you wish Alcoa ( Aluminum Company of America ) to watch the next arc... i think they way too busy with making Aluminum. But Alicia gonna love it, as its has Doffy. :D
Now that we've seen Apo again heres a fun fact about him. Oda confirmed that every part of Apo's body is an instrument..Every single part of him his got a triangle playing in his pants.
Random piece of info because I just realized it... you cant physically interact with a logia unless you have their direct counter or haki. This means that in order for Doffy to sit on top of smoker like that he had to be infusing his cheeks with haki. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN!!!
Kuzan/Aokiji scales way above Doflamingo. It’s easy enough to understand how someone could mistake Doflamingo being much stronger than he is solely based on what you’ve seen so far, but the truth is he knows he’d get folded by Kuzan so he walks away.
I'm not so sure about that, Kuzan froze him and he broke free. Like 90% of his moves are about freezing someone solid. They both have armormant haki and spoiler Doffy has conqueror's haki and an awakened devil fruit. I also think Aokiji has gotten weaker since Marineford.
@@fictionjunkieI’m pretty sure Kuzan wasn’t trying to go all out, it was just a basic freezing. It would be a decent battle, but I think Kuzan would win with moderate difficulty.
@@gavin5724 maybe, maybe not, like I said he isn't as strong as he was in Marineford. I'm not sure Doffy knew one way or the other if he would win, I think he backed off because he knew he didn't have the time to fight him, it probably would have lasted at least a day and he was trying to track down the Strawhats and he had to abdicate the warlords. See when he was talking to Law, the idea of having to fight Kaido had him shook. I didn't get that vibe at all with Kuzan.
@@fictionjunkie Spoilers for the manga up ahead. Kuzan was somewhat keeping up with Garp, this same Garp was fighting a few of Blackbeard's commanders at once at one point. Luffy in Dressrosa defeated Doffy with a lot of difficulty, and was having even more trouble against Cracker a little later. It's ridiculous to assume that Cracker is stronger than multiple yonko commanders fighting together. Garp > multiple yonko commanders. Kuzan is somewhat equal to Garp. Luffy in Dressrosa defeated Doffy after a difficult fight and then later on that same Luffy had a very difficult fight against a yonko commander and only won because Nami provided support and the enemy he was fighting kept making food for him to eat. Not to mention that Kuzan froze multiple of Blackbeard's commanders when they first met after the time skip and they were helpless. So we're looking at a character that lost to Luffy in Dressrosa versus a character that can defeat a few yonko commanders together. I think Kuzan would win this fight easily.
@@fictionjunkie I agree it’s not very clear who would win, but I think Kuzan is just as strong if not slightly more than he was at Marineford. If all the admirals went all out, I think they would have won, but if they did go all out, many people would have died pirates and marines. Spoilers It’s like saying well why didn’t garp just use galaxy impact? Well if he did, a majority of Marineford would have been destroyed.
the only thing that i find interesting in the filler is that you get to see the sea turtle lions that luffy trained in alabaster in that filler you skipped also probs should have done 3 eps to make up for the shortness
Smiles probably only work with Zoan types best cause A. Logia are rare as sh!t and you don’t want any crew members getting uppity ideas from the power boost. Caribou was cocky as shit and then got one shotted by a lion in a pink suit. B. Paramecia are random as all hell and who knows what might happen.
It would be perfectly reasonable to be jealous of Momo. Especially for what he does afterwards. And it doesn’t help that he knows what he’s doing and could get away with it because he’s a kid.
The skipped arc is Chopper focused thanks to an animal mind control freak. So the Kung fu Dugongs of Alabasta showed up at end 625... they were what you recognized. Its a fun lil mini bit but as far as filler goes I like it less than Battleship Islandarc with the ole dragon in it.
naaa, it is.... it really is. The main conflict was running from some purple smoke, and most of it was just big reveals and add for future stuff to come. There was never a real threat to Luffy, you not gonna have the Straw Hats die to a purple smoke. Monet was the real win of the arc, but well... she ded now. Most of the arc was literally just them all running, and sure the body swap was something, but it just added to the confusion. Over all it just felt random and boring, like it lacked that hook that every other arc has that makes you go "oh shit!" Like Its One Piece, The characters are fun, but Punk Hazard remains the "just get tough it" arc. I mean it literally was that for the characters, get to the chopper. Most islands also just feel impressive and inspiring, not to forget all the relations with the citizens and different cultures of the places. Punk Hazard had none of that.
@@MouseGoat Yeah, agreed. Fishman island didn't really have a big enemy behind it, but at least the message behind the whole thing was really powerful and interesting to see. Punk Hazard didn't really have much of anything other than being a transition arc, most of it could have been thrown away and wouldn't have mattered. It is geniunely the worst arc in the New World for me and one of the worst of the overall series.
@@MouseGoat you say it as as if the conflict in fishman insland was better. The conflict there was stopping a boat from falling and there werent even stakes about it because 1)we were already told that luffy would have been the one that would destroy the insland so we already spoiled that the boat wasnt gona do crap and 2)some people like alicia already called out how things were going to get resolved wich really tells how bad it was because if you can tell if the conflict is going to get resolved and how already than at that point you are just waiting for it to end. The villain were actually memorable here unlike in fishman insland. Most people that have watched the show probably dont even remember the name of a single officer or hordy unlike the one of arlong and the villain of this ark. Even hordy fails as a villain and dont start saying that i dont get him because i do. He represent his motivation well but just because you represent the concept well doesnt make the concept itself good. The stakes in this one are actually more and not easy to figure out unlike the the previus one that only had three that were drowning that you know wasnt gona happen like that for a fact,100000 enemy that got resolved so quickly we couldnt even feel scared and a boat wich i already talked about previusly. Both of these ark are settup ark but one set up stuff thats gona happen 700 chapter later and that point its not gona matter from how much we waited and the other actually gives actual progress to the plot. Both are ment to show how strong the strawhats are now but one does it by giving no treath because of how stronger they are while the other as the villain knowing their weaker so they resort to hax wich add stakes to the ark. You can even tell how much more the villain mattered by how much it shows up or gets talked about still. Caesar has pretty much appeared in every ark since he has been introduced(through cover story in some)meanwhile hordy has never been seen again. Even freaking don krieg recently was shown more relevant than him. You know its bad when don krieg gets a better treatment than someone.
The pacing is the anime’s problem. If you didn’t like this, Dressrosa is gonna be awful x 100. But after that things kinda go back to being ok. Like it’s still around Punk Hazard levels of bad, but at least it’s not Dressrosa.
The pacing for the next arc has poor pacing yes, but it shall be a grand time! Gotta love seeing Kuzan/Aokiji again, the vagabond drip is pretty cool. Also yeah...pretty sure everyone was surprised with Momo lol.
i headcanon that Momo doesn't even feel sexual attraction at all for Nami (he's a little 8 year old kid of course he wouldn't fully understand those desires) so he just pretends he does to piss off the adult guys because he thinks it's funny
people say that alot, but I dont think Doflamingo fears Aokiji much at all, its just that its to much of a hazel to fight him then and there, when he got a mess to clean up after Law. Kaido is the one to put fear in Doflamingo, Doflamingo knows that hes a pesky fly compaired to Kaido The Kng Of Beasts, so he knows thats where he needs to put his focus. Aokiji literally made him cool down in more ways than on, and so he lost interest in continue fighting.
Alicia, if it makes you feel any better about Franky's constantly changing haircuts, I think you'll really like the next one. It's the only one I've seen him in that I like as much as the original Ace Ventura pompadour. Although there is one very specific thing about it that I feel is wasted potential, but it still looks really cool and it's very on brand for Franky IMO
Ah, finally starting Dressrosa... The arc with pacing that is all over the place. And has quite interesting characters appearing in this section. Wonder how Alicia will react to Bart and a few other characters of note.
1:43 yeah it would have been if your king didnt run away like a b****. For real thought i dont blame him,i too wouldnt fight aokiji but him approaching him like a jojo character just to go past him is still mad funny.
@@Void_Out yeah, but we will soon. And technically we did, it just wasn’t shown. One of the pirate captains that backed up Whitebeard in saving ace had a caterpillar zoan. We never saw him go into any form, but he had it.
Second comment because I have more to say... everyone defends momo until they realize he does what he does on purpose. He may be a child but that Sh!t eating grin on his face after he motor boats nami makes even the kindest hearts know hate.
Just to give you a reference for scaling... Kuzan is closer to being on par with someone like Whitebeard... that's who the admirals are meant to deal with. Doffy has 0 chance here, they 7 warlords were designed so that all of them together could possibly fight an Emperor. Admirals are supposed to be able to 1v1 them.
I am Sad you skipped the so-called filler I am pretty sure you would have liked it Considering it was two episodes with law in chopper in it which you said you really wanna watch 😅
And it showed that even animals could learn haki which I’m pretty sure Oda confirmed. And it was only 2 episodes and didn’t spoil anything big like she assumes all filler does.
