This is why colonial powers make sure to destroy the warrior spirit of all the nations that they conquered. The Pacific is still green however and the Chinese are attempting to arm them in order for a future proxy war against the "white devil" of Oz. PNG once were and still are formidable warriors.
I remember watching this film when it came out all those years ago. Quite low budget, but excellent acting all round about a tragic and very violent tale.
Had AB centre Craig Innes not gone to rugby league in 1992 it is possible Frank Bunce may never have had a regular spot in the AB team as incredible as that may sound. Innes was the incumbent All Black centre and was still only 22 when he left, New coach Laurie Mains may well have stuck with him during his coaching reign 1992-95. But as know Bunce hung around in 1992 aged 30 and got his big break with Innes gone and the rest is history.
@@nepiahemopo1702 In rugby, Innes was nicknamed postie. It may have been because he always delivered but I have an idea it was because he so often scored between the posts.
The clincher for the ABs to complete the grand slam for the first time in 1978. The Scots put up a good fight but the late great Bruce Robertsons late try sealed the game for the ABs.
The 3rd test was the crucial decider for both teams that day. The ABs won by one point 25-24 which I think was to occur for the next 4 tests between the ABs and Wallabies. 10-9 to ABs 1985, 13-12 to the Wallabies and 13-12 to the ABs in 1986.
