No autotune, no fireworks, no cliché references to pickups, riverbanks and mud, the brand of liquor or beer he's drinking, the moonlight, or the girl by his side... Just a heartfelt ballad of a man missing the love of his life who's moved on while he still struggles... CLASSIC!!!
I just turned 69, my husband are the same age age every summer. Husband’s favorite Singer songwriter is Rodney Crowell, who wrote this wonderful song ❤❤❤ and Linda Rondstadt sang with the Nitty Gritty in 1988-89, and she won a Grammy for her cameo. Linda is fab and so is Rodney and NGDB are so fantastic, our whole family love them.
Ricky Scaggs singing is ABSOLUTELY phenomenal to listen to, his unique style voice is so very soothing to listen to, along with Sharon his beautiful wife and sister in law. Brilliant. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Ricky. Elizabeth over here in Scotland. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I always liked this song, but to be honest, this simple performance might have been his best version of this song ever. Imagine being in the room while these legends crank out some of their top tunes like it's nothing.
Seen these guys twice!! Once up in Monroe Washington then again in Bossier City La. Both times it was awesome. They opened for some goober named Collin Raye up in WA😅
