I remember listening to this song when I was teenager!! Almost 30 now, I cannot believe I found the video/ remembered the name of this song. I was going through a lot of of family issues at the time, this song helped me a lot. You have such a beautiful voice!

I discovered the world of Lexa and Clarke less than one year ago and I am still coming across new creations dedicated to Clexa. RU-vid just recommended your song to me…I am so glad the algorithm did its job right. Your song is beautiful beyond words. The lyrics and the emotions behind them hit me right in the heart; and the music is truly haunting. Your lovely voice is perfect for telling this story. I am not ashamed to admit that the tears were flowing. Thank you so much for creating and sharing this musical piece about Lexa and Clarke, born out of tragedy to become legendary.

Beautiful as ever! 💗 So heartrending and tender. Wonderful lyrics as well. I find it interesting how smoke (and fire) is typically used to describe something all-consuming, aggressive and violent, but here the mood is different -- the connotation is more ... like someone turned on the stove and then walked away and forgot. Even as the house began to burn. Anyway, I just think it's some really neat use of imagery. :)
Yeah that is interesting! I guess it's a versatile metaphor. :D I have this other song I wrote a couple of years ago called Gasoline (never finished recording it) which has a lot of fire metaphors too. And then the chorus is like, "I want to give it water, but all I have is gasoline." But yeah in this one it's more about neglect like you said. Anyway thank you for the thoughtful comment and I'm glad you enjoyed the song!

This song just reminds of what happening to Chloe Price. She getting blinded by her love for Rachel Amber that she can't see that Rachel Amber isn't someone that she should love. Rachel is a manipulative and toxic person after all. While this even reminds me all the Amberprice shippers since they are blinded to the fact that Amberprice is a toxic relationship.
Absolutely beautiful! Every part of your music is so masterful, from the lyrics to the production, it's just wonderful to listen to. Plus, it's lovely to see you revisit LIS -- like many others, I discovered your work through your LIS songs. :) You really captured the mood and vibe of the games with this, especially BTS. I'm especially reminded of that excellent cover you did of Youth, which IMO surpasses the original. There's that melancholy, grungy note to it that's just... so good. Chef's kiss.

Absolutely brilliant, I'm blown away. Massive progress in every way. Like I said in the teaser, this is not just similar but definitely on par with Daughter's BTS soundtrack. Mad respect my friend. Keep it up, very excited for more material. :) By the way do you write tabs for your songs or do you produce it all by heart?
Thank you!! I don't write tabs out most of the time. Occasionally if it's a complex guitar part I'll write out the tabs in case I might forget them years later, but yeah mostly everything is by ear. As such you can catch me being frustrated at not knowing what key my song is in several times throughout any production if I'm trying to play a virtual instrument on they keyboard. It takes me an embarrassingly long time to figure out and then I don't write it down and inevitably have to figure it out again later. 🤣
@@cristinahawke Okay, then if that's okay for you I think I put some of your songs on my "maybe transcribe this for the community someday"-list. These songs are totally worth it. :) I might come back to you and ask which tuning was used, that's sometimes hard to guess. I can so relate to not knowing the key :D I am relatively good in writing tabs by ear but I've never learned to play guitar from sheet music, in fact I totally forgot where is which note in the treble clef (just the bass clef from playing bass in the local big band). Even when I took piano lessons as a kid, I learned mostly by ear, all the theory I just couldn't memorize.
@@RedHeadGuitar Oh man this one is super easy to play! Hmm maybe I'll add a page for tabs on my website or something. I do have a few. Off the top of my head, Already Broken and Fever are some of the most complex ones to play. I almost never (maybe literally never,) use alternate tunings, though that could definitely be a fun thing to try in the future! I'm with you on the sheet music thing; I've given a half-assed attempt to learn it here and there, for piano at least, and it just does not stick.

I can't believe how many mean comments are on here.. it took me a second to adjust to your style and then I was hooked.. these people are lame and unimaginative! That was awesome and your guitar solo was sick! The vocals were unique and I think that's people's issue. But they were so good, so fuck the haters. DO WHAT U DO!
Came back to this EP, the first time I heard it I had 12 years old and was confused as hell, LIS was my comfort place and the game that changed my life. Now I have almost 20, a beautiful girlfriend and these songs to remember. Love your music!!!
