As a fan of K-pop, I feel like the Western market is starting to operate more and more like the Korean market in terms of releases. The main difference is that K-pop artists release EPs (they call them mini albums) and singles far more often than full-length albums. Because they have just 4-7 songs, having a shorter cycle is actually fine. Also, each artist can release two singles per year, generally (unless you are Blackpink-YG did them dirty), and having a mini album accompanying each release means 8-14 songs per year, which is a far more reasonable format than what we are seeing (15+ songs for 2 hits). I don't know whether or not Western artists should operate on this schedule, but the market is already changing, and it will be difficult to produce more than two big hits per release.

I've known little mix almost all my life through my sister. As a Nigerian, my sister would listen to their songs daily and that was how I became a fan. I'd watch their music videos, like it, and then come back to them the next 5 months. It's just so heartbreaking to know they've split up. God, they were so perfect together.

I dont like how things went, but I also hate how quick the fandom was to jump against her. Like they were waiting for her to leave. Saying little mix works better as a trio and that she wasnt needed and its just sad because little mix always stood for empowerment and unity and people just leave her out of that. They were amazing as 4 and all super talented

Unpopular opinion - Leigh-Anne plays a victim. Im sorry, but this whole situation of fans taking sides was ridiculous. Nobody knew what has actually happened inbetween them. Yet everyone blamed it all on Jesy. And when Nicki went after Leigh-Anne, she evidently knew something the public didn’t know. Yet everyone was still ohhh poor leigh-anne. Yeah nah. She’s definitely made an IMPACT, like she said “a pop punch to the face”. I’ve never followed Little Mix closely, even though I always liked what I saw if it passed me by. I saw ppl talking about AOMD and thought I’d check out the video...well it sucked me in deep and has pretty much been consuming me the past 48 hours since! The way she’s able to give catchy epic pop WITH this emotional haunting vulnerability...it’s something really special and stands out for sure!

Try looking at it from Jesy's perspective though, if this girl who you once thought of as a best friend had just called you a horrible person, would you really defend HER when she's called a jealous clown by someone defending YOU? I don't think those text messages were real, however its clear that both Jesy and Nicki did and the impact of them was felt. I wish a public statement was made about the authenticity of those said text messages (something that involved them) instead of the authenticity of Jesy's tan (something that didn't involve them).

I love AOMD and your review of it! Jade is very promising and while this song may be a hit, I'm hoping she'll cultivate a loyal, niche fanbase with these next few singles (like Charli XCX for example) because it's tricky to rely on radio play/general public these days.

Little Mix were waaay way better as a 4 piece, they were more marketable and more successful....all of their biggest hits,Awards and achievements was with the 4 members, none of their music as a trio was a big hit!!I like the Confetti remix,which was successful,but Jesy was already in the original Album version too

I became a fan bc of Black Magic and from then I followed them until the year before LM5 came out (other interests). It was maybe one of the best times for me, who just loves music. All the drama behind happened afterwards. I only know, that people called her names before, talked about her body shape all the time and actually only cared about Leigh-Anne, Jade and Perrie. So even back then you could tell that she was always the outcast. But Little Mix wouldn't have worked without her. Many people forgot that back then or simply ignored it. Unfortunately, the things went downhill, as described here. Since the British press (yellow press) likes to write what makes headlines and not the truth, I was always skeptical. It's good that there are channels like you that are much closer to the people. It's really sad the path Jesy has taken. It would probably have been best to say goodbye in peace, but unfortunately you can't turn back time. I'm currently enjoying Jade's debut. I hope you like it :)

It's ironic how at one point, the reverse was true; artists would release singles but no albums. I'd obviously prefer an album without a bunch of singles, if I had to choose.

I've known little mix for 4 years and I thought that Jesy was black or at least mixed 💀 As a black person myself, I hate when people call everything blackfishing , and I clearly see when people just put on tan , or is natural tan . Sabrina and Olivia succeeded with Guys and Sweet n Sour. But Taylor and Ari have really failed. I don’t personally feel like That Boy is Mine or Fortnight are good singles and because I’ve listened to both albums on repeat already, I can definitely see which ones I would have wanted instead. Also Yes, And? was fun but kind of put me off from Eternal Sunshine initially since I didn’t like it.
