Just a quick note: she actually has writing credits in almost every other older song, she was just able to have more creative freedom after dropping Hollywood Records and decided to go on a more diaristic path. And also, the “Feather” music video is actually about her killing all the men who harassed her 😭

I'm so excited for her with all the success she getting rn. I remember trying to learn to rollerskate cos of can't blame a girl for trying! I will say I'm a bit paranoid?? about her sustaining this level of success. I think her image has become very distinct now which is great but I feel she rlly needs to become more sonically distinctive to serously be a main pop girl. Rn its giving ariana, dua etc. which is fine- everyone has influences- but it feels like she's more inhabiting these modes rather than using them to craft a distinct sound. I'd love this next album to give more specificity and depth sonically, lyrically. EICS was a step in the right direction but, as quirky as she can be, I still find some of the music to be a bit anonymous but i get she's still working out a sound. I just rlly don't want her to have this one big moment and then fade into obscurity cos she can't elevate. Great video :)
