I have exactly the same car and colour. GSE spec with digidash and recaro interieur plus 3.7 LSD. But with a 24v and a modified chip for the ECU. Unfortunately is has the 4 speed Aisin warner so that power is a little compromised.but it's a fun car to drive 🎉
Monza gse... Mega fajne auto. Zawsze mi się marzyło, ale było drogie. Miałem białą Mantę b GT/e z 1980 roku. Szkoda, że ople nie miały tak solidnych blach, jak audi b4...
Fantastic work on a great car. Not a big fan of these moving picture but I guess you have to do with what you have. Background music mostly horrible, though.
Great Run for your Opel Monza GSE ! You must see here : Opel Monza Tourenwagen Gruppe A 1982 He say that this car should have 285 HP wifh only 3.0 Litre and freely programmable control !
Thank you!!😊 But these Opel Monza Gruppe A has the DTM engine from Mantzel, I suppose there is nothing stock on there!!😂 285hp and 1070kg is just a dream for me😔
@@monzagse congratulation, but then you really need to make some money😀. If you change your mind, just let me know, I want to make a monza restomod like yours, and I like your work. Greetings from Denmark
Nice sounding engine and i hope, that you have no accident on this wet road. For a worst case you can buy a cheaper Monza A2 2.5 E and make a motorswap + interiour, but I hope this car live for a long time !
Very good job! That's around 225-230 hp on the motor and close to 300 N.M. I imagine what will be the numbers with proper exhaust. That fast engine and long cam do not tolerate such long tubes after the headers. You need a virtual system terminus somewhere near the headers. In the place of the front resonator of the old 30E or even closer. Then the cam will work wonders. Maybe an X-pipe close to the headers followed by a pair of small hollow resonators. Double system to the end. 50-55mm is more adequate. What is the CR? 9.6:1?
Thank you very much for this information!! I wish I have had it before, but anyway, I will consider this, to make a new exhaust in the future. For other side, the CR that we measured is actually 9:1 which is incomprehensible low, and I did’t fit high compression pistons because the budget, which certainly was an error. So my aim was to change the short block for the 39E, keeping the same head, but It looks that you know very well this engine, and definetly another way is to fit Wossner pistons… I need to think about it. Many thanks for your comments!!😍
@@monzagse If that is wheel horsepower and the CR is 9:1 then the calculated 85% VE should be adjusted to... 90% wow What's the 186 number, wheel or calculated engine power? If it's calculated, then it adds up perfectly to the standard 75% VE and the only gain from the cam and induction is the RPM rise.
@@monzagse ouch! Maybe this is NE motor 9.2:1 or LE, or something in between. NE is 9.2 compared to 30E 9.4, but the NE has bigger ports. 9:1 calculated static CR? Or 9 bar on the gauge, let's be clear, because I'm shocked.
@@PenkillerDIY Is a 30E block with a R3E head code. So it should have a 9,4:1 CR, even higher, because the head plane was milled until the edge of the valves. 9:1 CR was measured in static. I don’t know how is it posible, maybe the valves seats are too much deep…🤷🏻♂️
@@edlerwolf8160 well, I wouldn’t say that it’s in original condition, because it has a lot of mods. But certainly, I would like to achieve a higher version factory look. In that sense, I still looking for a 17” with similar design from original GSE wheels. We gonna see…😉
Thank you! I adapted an stock Mitsubishi EVO IX rear sway bar, and If I remember well, it was 21mm diameter. I fitted in the car with new brackets and to the rear arms with UNIball ball joints.
@@monzagse I have a 30mm front bar from an Australian Holden on the front, but a standard GSE rear bar. I was interested in finding a bar to uprate the rear. Yours is the only GSE I've seen with an uprated rear roll bar .
