I have made several playlists which may make finding certain material easier than searching through all of the videos, but feel free to do so if you like... not all videos are in playlists.
Nice hunt - well done! The rail section was intriguing. I dug a foot long section this spring from the 1860's. I was going to sell it but it is so handy as a small anvil I decided to keep it. The really old rail stuff is getting hard to find and can be very collectible. The rails I have found were early 50 to 60 pounds per yard . Sometimes you will dig the rail anchors or clips. These are high quality spring steel and make excellent knife blades.
Might want to go back and take a better look at that rail. If it's U-rail (hard to tell on the video) it can be worth a good chunk of change to rail collectors. Looks like it could be narrow gauged U-rail. You don't come across that stuff often at all... Way older then 1890's, so either that sites even older or it just looks the part from the angle....
Nice one Mr F !! Like the sunset pics! U know over here call fanny the front part ! We always laugh when we hear Americans go on so much !! Nice Dad time !! ❤❤👏👏
Really enjoyed this different kind of exploration of a unique pioneer site...I'm sure there's quality bottles hiding in the vicinity, probably more liquor and beer than pop.Sometimes in those days hard working meant occasional hard drinking to deal with the boredom and isolation in the various camps, eg. logging, mining, etc.Their original site has to be close by, especially where reliable water is.
Hello Kevin. Awesome video and finds. Even though you didn't find bottles, metal relics are nice finds to. A lot of Granite Quarries used railroad tracks to move the granite. There seems to be enough metal evidence to say the had some kind of railway there. Rails and some track spikes you found. Maybe you will find some bottles at the next location. Hope you are doing well and happy hunting to you. Take care, ---Jeffrey Hull Jr. (Jeff & son Lew)
Man, what a view from up there !!! Pretty place, and cool old relics you're finding !! 😎👍I hear folks like to make knives out of those old files ..Later ✌🍀⛏⛏
Been there done that with the thick tree roots. LOL ! Yes they sure worked hard breaking that granite. Don't believe I would have even lasted a day at that job. LOL ! Learned some new facts about the tools and method they employed to quarry the rock back in the day. Great job Kevin ! Cool spot and enjoyed the explore Kevin. Have a great weekend and cheers my friend !
People always leave me behind....They have a better chance of survival that way...🤔💪😎 The only thing we found around the mines in Minnesota went boom 💥!
You're getting quite a variety of things from that big old dump. That blunt top bottle with cross hatch embossing around shoulder I think was an early atomizer perfume with a metal collar over lip. Then that dark amber brown flask is a keeper too.Who knows what other real goodies are yet to be found...of course the hard work never stops!
Awesome video and finds Kevin. my son lew and I really like the copper owl. Cool beans on that find! 🙂 Nice to see the burst type bottle you found and looks really old. Neat bottle finds there Kevin. Like that small bottle with the neat pattern all the way around it. And the whiskey bottle flasks are cool as well. The owl was best of all. You need to make a video of all your finds sometime or your collection. Thanks Kevin.
