Not exactly sure what you are describing. Moves how? Did you use lock nuts on the pivot point and tighten them enough to create drag so the lid won’t fall down?
@fixthemthings I haven't drilled into the lid yet because when I tried and mocked up, hinge on lid the pivot hole on lid hinge moves when I move hood up and down
@@ghmichel72 I forgot about it for a while then looked into parts. I was going to use the power from the light, convert it to 24vdc (for safety)then activate a solenoid. However, I couldn’t find a solenoid with the enough stroke or proper duty cycle. My belt just broke last month so I broke down and bought the Chamberlain side mount system. So for I like it but it was expensive.
Get the right mount for the job. Order Thunder Mounts Solution to replace the overhead door industries erector set standard. No one wants to get punched out angle. Get the erector set eliminator, Thunder Mounts Solution! Www.ThunderMounts.com
Nice work, I'll be doing this tomorrow. Just got the grill and wasn't going to pay $100-150 more for a different lid. Was going to figure it out myself but then i checked youtube. Thank you! 👌👍
It’s a common problem but no, he was not having a problem. It just wouldn’t start one day. Fordmaktecholoco (spelling???)has a great video on changing the lead frame.
@@codyfunk8072 it started as the cam sensor faults then when we reset it the transmission faults showed up. Pull that transmission connection off and check pin 12 for 12vdc. If close to zero, then unplug one sensor at a time to find cause. Key must be on but not started.
@@codyfunk8072 do you have a volt meter? Hook up to pin 12 and check so you don’t waste money and time. Unplug one sensor at a time until you get the 12volts back finding the bad sensor. Then plug all of the other good sensors back in. It may start after that. Not sure though. Shouldn’t hurt anything to try.
I have a damper that is stuck and no amount of trying (i got some pros to try and make it move) made it move. I now want to remove the old one and try to install a new one. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
You should be able to unscrew it and pull it out. Does it just need a good cleaning or is it all bent up now? Take it to a fireplace shop to identify it. Hopefully the holes in the pipe aren’t wore out.
Thank You I made 2 sets this week. Painted black and add a couple washers between the 2 pieces. They work great! Thanks for sharing this idea. I also added a long handle to the front it gave it a classy look and is functional.
Could be a few things. Most likely the pull chain, fwd/rev switch. Check for burnt wires or bad connections. Check in the ceiling box for the connection to the fan. Should be a blue and black wire.
It’s just a temporary fix to get you going another couple years. I have replaced the cables about 2 years after this video. The new cables are well worth it. $80 each. Doesn’t matter on the oil. The plastic retainer on your cable will eventually break anyways.
We have a Hunter old time original outdoor fan, 18 years old, that has to be push started to get it to spin. I opened the cap where the pull chain speed switch is but I don't see a capacitor! There is only the direction switch, the 3 speed pull chain switch and the wires, but no Capacitor. Where else could it be?
Thank you! I love videos like yours that are short, simple, and to the point. But I hate the fact that guys like you over here doing everything with one hand while I'm out here struggling while using both hands! Lol. Seriously though. Great video. Appreciate it, brother.
I have a 2003 Horizon 190, with a 4.3 L engine, seems you have the sema boat even the colors, I want to order the kit on amazon, I just dont know which will be the right one,,,,, can you advise ?
You shouldn’t switch while the pump is running that will roll the gasket. If your pump won’t prime it is usually a leak on the suction side. Hopefully you are filling the basket with water before turning on.
what do i do when the motor gets power intermittently? sometimes when i turn the handle the motor works, sometimes it does not. Even when the motor works though its significantly less propulsion that it used to have, and a bit nosier too. Thanks!
Where are you measuring the voltage to the motor? Are you saying the voltage sometimes drops going to the motor or the motor is just stopping. If the motor is just stopping with voltage going to it, then brushes are bad. If you keep losing voltage then it will be the handle switch.
I’m also having the same issue. I thought it was my control box and bought a replacement but when I installed the new control box, the motor didn’t work either.
@@fixthemthings I was able to disassemble it, but when I got to the brush, a lot of liquid came out. The inside of my trolling motor doesn’t look dry and clean like yours. My trolling motor was submerged in water before due to launching from a steep hill.
I absolutlyvare unable to relove the spider gasket, despite using a hairdryer and a little bit of alcohol. I already purchased the top handle spring and stem assembly, and a new spider gasket and adhesive for my old SPX0710X32 that had leaking water from the waste line. Now I , cannot proceed as my gasket is very strongly glued down. Hair dyer, and scraping ineffective. What to do?
It is a pain to get off. You will have to use a small screw driver to get underneath the gasket and tear it out. You can buy the plastic piece with the gasket already installed. It doesn’t cost too much more and it would be less trouble.
Thank you so much. Question… if i call HWAC to come out and they diagnose the need for new blower and capacitor; should i replace or just replace the whole system which was put in 2008. Also, i know they run at various prices, but what is a high price and best price. I appreciate you! 👍
Well. I don’t do HVAC for a living but the indoor units will last a long time if properly maintained. The outside units are the ones that usually get replaced along with the coil. There is not much to the inside unit. Usually a relay burns on the board or capacitor blows out but I would say most of the time it will be worn bearings on the motor. Turn the unit off and reach in there and try to pick up and down on the squirrel cage blower. If it moves a lot replace the motor. I’m a DIY guy so I hardly ever call anyone.
I think I have the part number somewhere. I would have to search my computer. You would have to get an updated version of it anyway. You would need to get the same push pull actions that this shifter has. It would be best to contact Four Winns and see what the best replacement is.
First run of boat from the winter. Foreward. Gear. Runs great put it reverse. It keeps stalling. Going try this gear cable lubing. Great video. Thx for posting.
