We are a home schooling family in the Pacific Northwest/ Washington State. My wife and I have had to turn to organic food and alternatives to the mainstream in order to care for our three kids with pretty sever food allergies. But not having fast food isn't the worst thing! We have learned a lot over the years and have had a garden and farm animals at our home just outside of town. But after my fathers sudden passing we find that we also have the opportunity to move to 40 acres and start a farm and garden on a large scale. We plan on uploading about a video a week with content on our projects, what we have learned, and advice from you as we move forward. From canning, to farming, to mineral prospecting, to shop time, to the restoration project of Andrews 1967 mustang, to cooking, and working in the woods, we hope to have content that helps and inspires as we grow along the way. We look forward to this journey and please subscribe to join our adventures!
Have had one for 1 1/2 yrs 300 cycles on it. Vac pump lock up. Parts are out stock going to be 9 months. +++ for parts. Machine is still on warranty. Great counter anchor. Good luck
Great, mine works well too but can't find how to just seal a bag roll end only (no vacuum), can't be you have to go through t the whole vac routing to just use the heat bar sealer?
We do wash all the veggies first, we also strain out the spent vegetables (adding that to the compost) when straining the broth. 🙂 Thank you for watching!
Exactly 💯 Just buy a good canned soup at the store. A good one I like is Amy's lentil soup. Cost is around $2.50 to $4.50 depending on which store you go into.
Thank you! I’m a new canner, and binge canning to stock our pantry. I’m going to put it on my list to make this. It’s so much more efficient of my time. We love pea soup in the winter, and I do make it, but it feels like a small project each time. I’m really excited at the thought of this in my pantry!!
I think I know what he might have been trying with the stagger-frame hive. There is a theory that the break between boxes inhibits the bees and they don't like to cross it until a wax bridge is formed. Not sure I buy into that totally. In any case, the stagger eliminates the break. The obvious problem with the stagger-frame is it makes working the hive very difficult. First time I have seen that done. Another keeper (Vino Farm) is using combo frames that extend through a full deep and medium. Interesting, but again, It makes the frames incompatible. Still, interesting to watch how that develops.
That's the first thing I thought of as well. It would have been interesting to see the after winter result, but sadly we won't get to see that now that the hive is reconfigured to 'normal.'
@@fiveon40 thanks for getting back to me im in kansas going to oxalic acid today did it 3 times in september but after watching your video i have some frames in my hive that has nothing on them but foundation so i guess i will pull them this weekend suppose to get 60 and put in sugar feeders with sugar in them
@@fiveon40 Its my first year i have 2 hives they have a box full of honey and lots of bees i just got done with my treatment noticed bees coming back in with polen
I would start checking them within about three days, you’ll start seeing some color changes to the red and then probably start getting fully ripe ones within a week or two
I just found another sturdier, deeper and heavier one, a " slow feeder dog bowls white " from a brand named PETDURO on Amazon ( Amazon's Choice ). It slows down my golden's eating very effectively.
Thanks for the video. FYI, The little bar in front of the sealing bar is useful for holding the bag in place before you close the lid. It wasn't used in this video.
Why? I know that they sell those things but I think it's just marketing. Dogs go around all day sniffing the ground. People try to give them human problems they don't have.
Thanks for sharing the video. Could you provide the chamber LxWxH dimensions and tell us if the removal tray o support was included in the purchase? Thanks in advance
Good question, to get an accurate answer I’ll switch the dogs on which bowls they use, Lexi tends to only use the purple and bear the orange, bear takes longer to eat in general.
Living The Dream Thanks for watching!! Yes, we plan on rebuilding the six, but the frame is pretty rusty and we need to see if it is something we can tackle.
Just curious, why didn’t y’all just lower the car off the jack stands and jack to bring the engine over the radiator mounting bracket? Only asking because as soon as you had the engine out, you then lowered the car? 🤔 looked like a productive day 👍🤠
Indeed, we probably could have lowered the car mid way but the engine and transmission had to come out at the same time so to get the angle up we needed it off the ground a little bit. I relied on the experts on hand though 😁
