I was born in Texas my mother's family is from Tennessee my dad's family is from Tennessee spend some time in Tennessee and thought it was awesome just like this song
Hey Bobby, a good example of that Texas/Tennessee bond. Been there a long time. Probably started around 1836 when Davy Crockett stepped across the threshold of the Mission San Antonio de Valero and lent a helping hand. Thanks for taking the time to comment and the kind words.
Now, I'm telling you... Tennessee, that is a cool name. What a treasure you have in her buttons! We MUST not forget our past or history... and hopefully the young ones will pay attention and pass it on. Thanks for the comment.
There's a special place in Tennessee's heart for Texas. We are bound by history, Intertwined with blood in wars for independence. I love Texas. A big shout-out to Fort Davis! Change it and send me a copy...lol
Leslie, from England, Tennessee says a big HEY! Thanks for the kind words. Simple chords. G C D. Nothing fancy. Just got to figure out where to put the Southern twang in there...lol I know you can do it and I would love to see your video. Thanks again.
Born & raised in SE KY coal mine country where I learned the difference between good music and the other types. Went north to steel mill country to avoid being a coal miner. Raised my family just off the southern tip of Lake Michigan
Hey Brother, thanks so much for your comment. I appreciate it. Glad you were fortunate to have been born in the South, totally understand why you had to leave. I hope you have the good fortune to get back every now and then. Thanks again.
Well, Welcome. Clarksville is a GREAT town, nobody what some of the naysayers think...lol I've been here long enough to call it home. I hope you will feel the same way fifty years from now. Thanks for taking the time to comment on my song. Take care.
You're fantastic! I'm from Chicago but moved to Clarksville, Tennessee, in January to be closer to my daughter, who has lived there for 21 years. I love your music. It reminds me of being a teenager playing folk songs on my guitar with my boyfriend.
wow! thank you so much for your kind words. Clarksville is home. I remember being a teenager, singing and playing on a guitar so loud until my Grandfather would bang on the door and tell me to quiet down...lol Thanks for taking the time to comment! God Bless.
Proud Northeast Tennessean! We are Hillbillies and it's not meant to be derogatory like society has perceived us. Love this video! Thought of my dad, too. He taught us to be proud of our hill folk ancestry.
My folks taught me wrong from right, good from bad, not to lie or steal or mow grass on Sunday... I'm southern born and raised. we are what we are. Why would we apologize for how we were raised? Thanks for your comment! Love it!
@@SannaBlue about 25 years ago, we had a small parade in a small town in SC, and that small spot in the road, is POSSUM KINGDOM, lol, I'm not kidding, thats the name.. My dad dressed in overalls, put a tree in the back of a flatbed truck, Put a possum at the top of the tree, and had a hound dog at the bottom, howling like crazy, all the while blaring bluegrass from a speaker. He won the best "float" of the parade. He was one of a kind with a wicked sense of humor. He would have loved your music.
I understand how you feel because I, too lost my son a few years ago. The pain never goes away. God bless you and thank you for your comment. Music has a healing touch.
I lost my one and only biological child in Iraq. The pain will never go away. Everyday I pray I don't lose it and open my "Fukit List". The death of any child is beyond my comprehension. I ask the Lord everyday why....
Worst life changing event a parent can ever experience 😢 My son was 29. I loved him dearly and he loved me too. He was also my best friend. My hunting partner my fishing buddy. ..A broken bone will heal after a few weeks. But a broken heart never heals.💔
Thank you for cheering me up. I’ve had two bereavements recently and was feeling low but your rendering was just what I needed to see me through this sad time. Best wishes you from Scotland ❤️🌞🏴🇬🇧
I had a near-death experience that went as far as falling on the floor, losing my sight and hearing and ability to move. Motion didn't exist. I was floating in complete blackness, a warm soft cloud, no up or down, no fear, no regrets, the pain of my body gone. It was perfect and I hope to go back there someday.
dear one, you will not die, you will simply depart from your avatar (body of flesh) as your conscious remains constant/aware/awake, however you want to define it but conscious does NOT die. where you go has no pain, discomfort of any kind, you feel... 'perfect' & that you are in a 'perfect place' where the next phase of your spirit's journey begins... yes smile, wide
