A remake of my song "Walking in Shiloh" with additional video of the recent 2012 celebration of the 150th Anniversary. Re-enactors from all over the country took part of a spectacular event.

Gary 'SannaBlue" Baker was born in Tennessee in the shadows of the Great Smokey Mountains and moved northwest of Nashville, to the small town of Clarksville as a young man. His music influences of gospel, country and bluegrass, have blended into a unique style of Southern storytelling that is different and memorable. He has paved his own way and avoids the conventional music making industry, instead deciding to live and play music deep in the country... being Free in Fredonia.

This strikes me to my heart. I feel a very close kinship to this War, and to the men who died, especially those of the South. There will be those who 'despise' the South. They never knew, or even attempted to know, the people who fought for the Southern cause, for all their eyes and ears can see or here, is what is taught them, mostly from shortsighted and one sided views of politically correct schools and books. They fought for their homes, their families and their State and no matter how much politically correct people today lambast and criticize their reasons, to them, they were very valid. The thinking was so much different, not to be confused with today's 'modern free thinking'. Do I honor those Southern Leaders and their men?.......Yes, I do, and I make no apology for that. It is my personal conviction and belief, and I shall stand by that for my entire life. Yes, you can use all the filthy wording, the mockery or derision you want, but it will never change that belief. There are those who believe so much differently than I, and that is their right, but it will never change my feelings about what I feel for my ancestors who fought and died, for what they thought was right, and I can never blame them for that. But, I am as adamant in my convictions as they are, and so................the war, in many ways, still lingers and is still being fought.
