The word "pretender" can also mean "a person who claims or aspires to a title or position." I think that's why she is called The Pretender. Because she claims the title of leader of the Nest.
I know this videos old but its my first time seeing it and the janitor has been one of the most intriguing bosses to me. But my favorite if i had to have one is the hunter. I also believe they all have adult monster versions of themselves though the kids.
Actually it's make sense because the granny seems to be Veronica, but what about the girl who was wearing the coat? Before six in the very little nightmare, you might know her if I was right but maybe she is the granny because she have long hair and she fall in the water that What I think. Thank you for your theory 😊❤
I think that she was caught by the Granny let me explain, So we all know that Flashlight girl or FG went down to the depths as well, but we don't see any trace of where she went just her flashlight on the ground, suggesting she was forced to leave it behind, then she went into the water (with no furniture in there) then she graps onto a hook but The Granny growls and shrieks and manages to grab her, due to the hook being a bit close to the water, and how do i know this? When we escape the Fast leeches when we're climbing up we hear that exact noise
I feel he has no idea what he’s truly doing to the kids he sends to the kitchen due to his blindness, or lack of knowledge of what’s going on, on the other side.
What if veronica is The lady, that would explain the song “run run here comes veronica” since everyone would be scared of her because she’s so powerful 🤔probably a stretch but idk
I personally enjoy the theory that the granny is the lady’s daughter and that the hanging man is her son. This theory feels a bit of a far throw but I appreciate it nonetheless. Thanks for making the theory
LN3 trailer is now out and we saw a city with creatures who look very similar to the guests of the maw, so this could mean that we will see the comercial again in LN3 with those "guests" watching it on TV
random thing im playing the first game again atm, n im on the last chapter where im abt to get the key from the vase, im near the stairs with the paintings, n i see this one photo that kinda looks like the baby, its on the top right, or idk if im js blind😅
My theory is that the figure is the ferryman, think about it he also takes children and sends them to the maw, and there was a sound in the video where it’s just a fleshy sound indicating that he was taking off his mask
Here's another interesting connection: the last thing we see the Teacher do is play a piano privately inside the school. This is clearly separate from the way she prepares for her classes (like how we see her preparing biology lesson on dissection at one point), but why is this the last note we leave off on for her character? I believe it's something she used to do at The Nest. There's an interactable piano in Very Little Nightmares, so it stands to reason that the Teacher likely partook in this activity there too. Additionally, notice how the Teacher is described to HATE children, and she's in charge of rowdy porcelain brats. This distaste of children could stem from her time with the similarly bratty Pretender. Perhaps the two got into fights frequently, and became emotionally distant. This would explain the Pretender's need to make "company" for herself, because her father figure (the Hanging Man) is deceased, and her mother figure probably hates her. Potentially even to the point of abuse, though I imagine the Teacher likely wouldn't dare to get into a physical altercation with the Pretender, who could delete her in seconds, lol.
this makes sence, like some people say, roger and veronica having a relationship and the twin chefs being there child, i mean, roger "smiles" and hugs that tv, BUT i believe she first was by the the hunter and made a video there, and then moved on to the mall, because u see a fridge in that video of veronica, and in the kitchen of the hunter has a fridge, and maybe that family on the table u see in the house of the hunter, maybe that is what the hunter wanted, a family with veronica but veronica didn't want to and went to the mall, met roger and made love and got the twin chef, it also makes sence why the twin chefs loves cooking, and what does veronica love to, cooking
I love LN1 and 2 and very LN and the comics and the DLC I love all of it ❤ and my fav character is definitely the main ones Mono and Six but I do like the Lady aswell, ALSO DID YOU KNOW LN 3 IS COMING OUT!!
I believe That her husband is the man who hung himself in the first chapters of the game, it doesn’t really hold much proof but there is something, In the song there are lyrics that go ‘He hung, he hung.’ I’m not really sure about this but we can debate and discuss about this in the replies if you have proof or If you are unsure.
I posted something similar before with breakdown but my three theme guesses were hunger, abandonment, and darkness. Each game encapsulates many childhood fears but those 3 are the most overarching in plot/imagery and most common real phobias - even in adults.
Wait what if Veronica was the old chef and then they tried to cook her when she was the granny cuz the maw cooks old guests and then Veronica ran away to the water so she hid in the water everytime someone came to the granny’s place and if they try to get across to the next area she kills and eats then to stay alive. That’s the end of my theory!
My theory (taken place from the lore): Six defeated the Lady, making six become the lady after gaining n her powers, until another six, somehow, defeats six, the one that became the lady, and then the lady that six, or second six, ate, and gained her powrrs, aged and became the Granny. Not that the granny is Veronica. And the old granny died from the electrocution seen in Little Nightmares secrets of the maw. And fun fact abt veronica: it sang something that is acosiated with the wax Bellman, the lyrics singing: He hung, he hung, he hung, no more bellman. And an concept theory from other fdans: the bellman did intact hang at the reception desk. There is an image of it. And people theorized that the hanging man in little nightmares is the wax bellman.
If you pay attention, in little nightmares 3 we see Alone, which has the same hair color, she also has pigtails that looks like she cut them herself. I believe that somehow she escaped the hospital and eventually cut her hair to be unrecognized by the doctor if she ever returned.
Actually, Veronica is a cyclone which killed the Bellman. "Having a nightmare in a boat" probably means that the Bellman was on a boat "No more bellman among the sea" means that his body was probably lost in the sea "A halo ascending him above our sea" means that he died "Run, run, here comes Veronica" means that the Cyclone Veronica was forming, signaling him to set sail faster to take cover
Logic: What? Does the woman in the painting have legs? The teacher has legs too! Does the woman have a skirt? And does she have shoes? The teacher also has a skirt and shoes! She is definitely the mother of this child!
They're the exact same skirt and shoes though. You can directly compare her model to the painting, and you'd fail to any notable difference at all 🤷🏿♂️ Plus, there's some pretty obvious connections and thematic parallels between them. The Teacher handles rowdy children, and has a distaste for them in general. The Pretender is a rowdy child. The Teacher prepares a lesson on dissection. Children on The Nest are skinned and turned into dolls (therefore, the Teacher could know about/be interested in the subject after seeing the Craftsman). The last thing we see the Teacher do is randomly play a piano, and there's an interactable piano in The Nest (so she could've been reminiscing on her time there, or simply just carried over that hobbie). The Teacher's portrait was shown on the Maw, and the The Hanging Man is found at the Maw. So it lines up that they could've been there together, and thus, the occupants of The Nest would know his fate (creating a picture of him right next to their family portrait). All the evidence seems to line up perfectly for it to be the Teacher (and no one else, really). Any counterpoint largely amounts to conjecture like "well, just because she has the same clothes, doesn't mean there's a connection." Or "Why would a family exist in the nowhere? It doesn't work that way!" Despite us seeing the Hunter's family in LN2.
