The English version for PlayStation and PC was supposed to release worldwide in Spring. But shortly before that date, the release for "the West" (i.e. Europe and North America) as well as the PC port got delayed into Summer. However, other countries-mainly Asian ones like Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong, etc.-still received the English PlayStation version as planned in early Spring (March 13 to be precise). So for those countries the game's already been out for almost half a year and the first DLC just released recently. There is still no release date for "the West" as well as the PC version but I assume we will get an official release date in the coming weeks.
Is it just me or their attacks look like regular imperial drone attack. And they have to get real close to fire, i think edf2 bombers r better than this.
The third game seems to be the entry to the series for a lot of players. Probably because it's the first one that released in North America. Did you also play the updated PlayStation Vita version later on?
@@cenorexia no never had a Vita. Only a 360 for that generation of EDF games. It was from an Early Gaminformer that talked about the series/small preview that got me hooked
Yes, that's a fun weapon to use. But it lacks penetration (PT) bonus, so for these _swarms_ of enemies I like to bring something else. It's great in other situations, though! 😁
Also, just wanted to say thank you for two wonderful playthroughs of the game. Finally being able to play it myself has been a blast. Im just past mission 80, but i am really struggling to play both the air raider and wing diver effectively, any advice? Perhaps on the discord for newer joiners to EDF6? (My last EDF game was EDF2025 from 2012 so alot has changed)
Before you do (and potentially waste your money): What region is your game? Are you playing the Japanese version that released in 2022, the English version that released across Asia earlier this year in March or the English version that released just last week in Europe and North America? I'm asking because the DLC needs to match the region of your game, otherwise it won't work.
Is the DLC available for the western release that is a few days old? As i cant find it on steam but i noticed the game has the mission packs locked in the user interface
@@justinbell8106 If you have the Asia version that released earlier this year, you don't want to make a _Japanese_ account but one for one of the _Asian countries_ the English version released in. For example Taiwan. Then you need to grab some PSN cards, for example from PlayAsia (links are in the description). Then purchase the DLC (or the Season Pass), download with your new Taiwanese account, then afterwards you can switch back to your regular account and play.
If we take a look back at EDF5, the first Mission Pack DLC arrived around 2 weeks after the initial release on Steam. That doesn't mean it'll be the same with EDF6 though. I would estimate in about a month maybe.
Got a question for the Main Story missions. Is there a Mission that I can use to farm for weapons and Armor I've done 54 missions on either Normal or Hard, and none of the missions seem decent enough to farm.
Thanks for watching! And yes, I like them too. Actually I wish there were some more accents. That would reinforce the idea of the EDF being a _global_ organization.
Yeah, the English version was supposed to release everywhere in Spring. In the end the release for Europe and North America got delayed but the PlayStation version still released as planned in other countries. So the first DLC mission pack is already out over there on PlayStation 4 and 5.
Wish we would see (hear) some other international branches, too. In the Japanese version they all speak Japanese of course, but that would've been something they could use the English dub for in a positive way: Have all kinds of accented English to show the EDF is a truly _global_ organization! :) (they do that in the _World Brothers_ games and I think it's a nice touch to hear all the different accents)
Inferno was challenging, yea. One tip I can give you in case you're playing Ranger: The Free Bike Type-Z was very useful. You can easily outrun the meteor showers and also get some distance between you and the enemy mobs quickly, then take pot shots at them from the edges of the map. Takes a while but it works nicely.
@@cenorexia While I understand the distance for mobs, why the meteors? Do they have an increased health pool to where I can't just blast them down with a rocket launcher as usual?
From what I can tell they have more health and they can shoot their acid further than other variants. And it's more like a short stream of acid, not just a few splashes.
Mind sharing your audio settings for the game? Been playing and the voice audio always sounds so muffled unless its radio chatter or I'm right next to the person talking
Hi there! My audio settings are the following: • Master Volume: 30 • SE Volume: 80 • BGM Volume: 75 • Voice Volume: 100 • Play Radio Voice on Speaker: Front LR I think these are just the default settings.
*Note:* At 3:09 the Commander calls the Beta Monsters "Spider". This is odd because we as the players obviously see the resemblance but in the world of EDF5 and EDF6 they are _always_ referred to as "monsters". It's even stranger because just in the previous sentence he _does_ say "monster". The mention of "spider" is not in the original Japanese version either, it's a quirk of the English translation. Here is the original Japanese version (with manual English subtitles): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zSEYRLdYcGM.html
How are you ready playing the dlc season when it just come out four days ago and its lock in the uk Even though paid for the Full addition Saying comeing soon like wtf man i love edf dlc the more mad and fun
The English version was initially supposed to release early Spring for PlayStation and PC worldwide. Shortly before that day (March 13) the release for "the West" (i.e. UK, Europe, North America) got pushed back into summer, to July 25. However, the release in other countries was unaffected and went ahead as planned. So the English version is already out since March in many countries _outside_ Europe and North America. For example Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and other countries across the wider Asian region all got the English version since March 13; and thus the first Mission Pack DLC is also already out in those territories.
@cenorexia I no man Why they do m e like that I've been playing it for 40h Everyone in the west, the DLCs are locked, and it's pissing me off as I want to jump to, so I waited two years, then paid fully for it. Then watch Countdown 92 days to it's out now I got to wait for the DO.C's to activate wow EDF did the west dirty
I think they want to make sure people finished the main game before starting the DLC because unlike EDF5 the DLC is not only harder missions but actual storyline. The DLC wasn't available day one for the Japanese and Asian versions either. They had to wait as well (and much longer: Japan had to wait half a year for the first DLC to arrive; rest of Asia still had to wait 4 months). If we take a look at EDF5, the first Mission Pack DLC arrived just 2 weeks after the game's launch on Steam. I would expect something similar for EDF6; I don't think the wait will be as long as it was for Japanese and Asian players. It also gives you some time to build up your armor. You'll definitely need it as some of the DLC missions are _brutal_ even on Hard and below.
@cenorexia I hear. What you're saying, but at least put a Count down Not just a message saying, arriving soon. Like I literally searched everywhere to see the comeing Nothing But i'm really enjoying the game love it man
Do you mean the big mechs you can see here in the beginning? If so then yes, they are about the same as they are in EDF5, apart from some high level ones which are a bit faster and more nimble. PS: I asked if you mean the mechs because in the English translation they are calling both, the big mechs ("Combat Frame" in the original) as well as what the Fencers are wearing "Powered Exoskeleton" and that sometimes leads to confusion when talking about the game 😅
