This is the most authentic review of Comfortblley Numb I have ever seen. She apparently understood the song, but not the context. That's ok because she felt it.
President Bush was calm and reserved because he knew how to be...presidential. No flying off the handle or ranting and raving or running off at the mouth or the other nonsense recent "presidents" engage in.
I've lost count how many reactions to this brilliant video I've seen, but yours is probably the best I've seen. No stopping, no constant irritating interruptions, just pure respect and love for everything you was witnessing ❤❤❤, but then again, I've never seen anything but love and respect for all your reactions and lots of laughter 😂, thank you so much, take care, Tony here in the UK 🇬🇧 ❤
This song was released in 1967 and this live version so many years later is fantastic as it has more depth with the choir and orchestra. Gary's voice aged like a fine wine. R.I.P Gary. You would also like the studio and live version of 'Nights In Whte Satin' by 'The Moody Blues'.
PROCOL HARUM "WHITER SHADE OF PALE" This live version is absolutely beautiful. BUT It covers up what made this song so iconic. There was no orchestra or choir. What made this song was the haunting sound of the organ. I rate this as a "Studio 1st then live." ...Boy meets girl. Girl leaves boy. "trip the lights Fandango" ...Fandango is the seductive dance with castanets.
Have a look at the original group playing this in a colour 1960s video. That will give you a taste of how wonderful the 60s were. It’s the video which has 124M views.
Great reaction people. 🙂 This is a special performance by everyone on that stage. I am from Ireland, please react to Irish singer Van Morrison, singing "These Are The Days". Thanks
Well, these people don't know it, but they are really reacting to an English singer " borrowing" the voice and American accent of soul giant Ray Charles.
I never even experienced this but I cried after hearing about the man in the red bandana and the fire boat the survivors it was a bad day for everyone... Losing your loved ones dying and sacrifice this was the day that changed America forever .you could travel to any state o.country freely in America but this day it changed Everything.
This concert was filmed at Ledreborg Castle in Denmark w-the Royal Danish Concert Orchestra. It has been "the most-played song in public places for over 75 years." There have been some misconceptions surrounding the meaning of the song - see ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pf73XwiZIFQ.html for the interview w-composer/lead singer Gary Brooker & writer Keith Reid. Gary was founder of the band began in '67; he passed away in February of 2022, Keith passed in March of 2023. It is also said that Reid was "going to reveal the true meaning before he died" but he died before he explained anything. Many people believe it was about a drunken one-night stand. Contrary to popular belief, the song is not a direct copy or paraphrase of any music by Bach but was inspired by & does reference Bach's "Sleepers, Wake!" and "Air on the G String!" As per Reid, the line "as the miller told his tale" is definitely not a reference to Chaucer's Miller's Tale. Reid has repeatedly explained he had never read The Canterbury Tales when he wrote A Whiter Shade of Pale. Procol Harum is said to be the name of a friend's cat. The name is a mis-spelling of the Latin phrase Procul Harun (roughly meaning "far beyond these things"), or that it was a corruption of Procellarm, a vast ocean on the Moon. In Roman Times Vestal Virgins were priestesses and acquired their name after Vesta. the goddess of the hearth and home. It was their duty to not only keep the home fires burning but to also remain a virgin for 30 years. AMAZING SONG - AMAZING GARY! COURT CASE: Matthew Fisher, a founding member and the organist of Procol Harum, won a High Court battle over who wrote “A Whiter Shade of Pale.” He played organ on the 1967 recording of the hit, which was long credited to lead singer Gary Brooker and lyricist Keith Reid, and Fisher argued that he wrote the distinctive organ melody. And on December 20, 2006, Justice William Blackburne ruled that Fisher was entitled to 40 percent of the copyright. Fisher had wanted half (50%) but the court decided that lead singer Gary Brooker’s input was more substantial.
Please also consider this song by this same choir. This is a couple years ago in the church’s conference center. It is very powerful! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kJ84nJe-s6k.htmlsi=YaEpQpdBWxxjep1h
This linked video is my favorite version of Amazing Grace. It’s another choir of members of this church, this time in the church’s conference center with an awesome organ! I highly suggest headphones on this to hear the organ, especially during the big ending. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zVsUmRUlU_M.htmlsi=qKK1c2hEXFCbxTOF
hey miss, i have a question. are you related to star larh and the other man ? and that other girl who is always with them? or are you guys just good friends
I don’t know if you have but if you want to see this from a different perspective there’s a great video from inside one of the towers. Someone who worked there made the video
Before the towers collapsed, while they were still on fire, I was sitting in front of the TV watching this with my mom. You could see people who were trapped in the upper levels of the building jumping to their deaths live on TV. They jumped rather than get burned alive by the flames inside the building. I will never forget it.
I was in art class in 8th grade, in middle school. I was 11. Our teacher turned on the TV and we saw the first plane had hit. Our entire class watched the second plane hit live on TV. My mom came to pick me up from school. She was waiting for a phone call about my uncle, her brother. He was supposed to be on one of the planes that hit the twin towers, but it was overbooked and he had been delayed/bumped to another flight. Because of that, he's alive today. We didn't know he changed planes until several hours later, when we were finally able to hear from him. If anything like this ever happened to me, I hope I could be like the brave people of United 93 and fight back, even if it cost my life.
