there is a very small step in the covers near the front that needs a dab of gasket sealant when you replace them. When i took mine off, I could see the old dab of a red sealant that was used previously.
Excellent video. Very instructional. I love that you don’t waste a lot of time talking about yourself or what you had for breakfast or why you bought a Boxster. You get down to business the appropriate speed and helpful.
thanks for you efforts to produce the video and this nice instruction. Could perfectly change the display of my 911,996 4S Cabrio without any issues. thanks & regards, hf
Simply brilliant! It took me four tries, but the closer I studied the outstanding, detailed video, the more confident I became! Then, IT WORKED! This was a miracle that, from what others have said, would have cost me a $1,000 at the dealer or my specialty shop. I did it for $50 and about three hours of easy work over two days (I ran out of enthusiasm on the first day). Thank you SO much!
No need for disconnecting battery? No codes after the work? I have a Cayenne gts 2016 and I’m having the same issue. Thanks for the video. Very informative.
😂aye man it’s a lot you guys don’t say fam I don’t like that I found out the hard way doe cheeky bastards the rail come up with the intake it’s 3 bolts in the rail plus the 14 for the feed line
Awesome video. Watching helps a lot, had to remove intake manifold, and valve cover. Having clearance issues putting the intake manifold back. Even remove the sensor on the lower fuel rail. Still does not have enough clearance. Any tips please advise?
Thanks for the sub, I ended up selling it because the boss (wife) wanted a macan. It was a NY car that had some rust issues so I knew I’d eventually pass it along. This new one I plan on adding a lift and tires and some other offroad mods.
Thanks for doing this. Hoping mine turn out as well as yours did! I got an insane quote to put the covers on my car and found your video and figure it's worth a shot.
Thanks for a great tutorial! I just found mine leaking on the opposite side. Seems like an all too common failure and a very sketchy design. They should have used better material that could tolerate the heat and not become so brittle.
What a complete pain in the ass. I am going to build my own setup with silicone hose and a brass T. I don't want to have to do this again anytime soon lol. Glad you showed us how this comes apart.
Hi I have a 2019 Macan and was hoping to do the same thing, was your fitted for a clock? the dealership tell me mine doesnt have the loom required so they cant fit it, was this the same for yours?
@@rodneymorland4586 i did mine in a cayenne, I have a 2015 macan it came with the clock, if I’m not mistaken the macan and cayenne have the same radio so it should be similar to how I did it in the video. I honestly can’t 100% be certain though
Very helpful. Used this tutorial on our 2017 Cayenne S. The last connection at the firewall was not fun -the slight increase in size of the cayenne made the reach that much more tricky. Thanks for this.
How did you get the rest of the deposits out of the tank, I have the same problem you did and don’t know how to get the chunks of off tubing and such out.
Hi, just saw your video on how to replace the manifold gasket cover, one of the best I had seen by far. Question, do you have any video on how to replace a thermostat housing of a Porsche cayenne s 2006 3.2lt. thanks a lot. By the way, I just subcribe to your Chanel.
bro did you ever find one of these? mine is leaking and I am about to crack into it this weekend. Porsche dealership wants to drop the transmission. F that. 6,000 bucks.
Not sure my comment posted so trying again. Great video. How did you free off the rear harness to get at that last bolt, I’ve tried but am fearful I’m going to break something.
There’s a clip that you can include to move the harness slightly, it was a pain in the butt to get to and I admittedly broke mine. Nothing a zip tie couldn’t fix
Im see this video 2 times and I’m fix my Porsche on 2 ours, more easy the back bolts with 1/1/4 and the bolt T140 I’m put little bag plastic like this no lose the bolt
great video, noticed no coolant in 2016 Macan S on Sunday... this is likely the culprit, could not see any leaks near reservoir. Thanks, will check out this location next opportunity I get.
I tried to do mine like you showed but my new LED screen stays black.. Maybe my new screen is defective? or I made a mistake along the process? The Unit works the way it should but no readings..I'll buy another screen from a different ventor and repeat the process..
Great video. Just did this in my wife’s 2014 Panamera 4S and used the video as a tutorial. Same engine, same setup. Very helpful. Does this make me a RU-vid certified Porsche mechanic now? Haha.
