Hi, I'm Kira! I’m a German, living in Shizuoka in Japan.
I love grocery shopping in Japan, trying out new foods and things to cook and to improve my own skills in cooking. I also like a slow and relaxed living. 😌
I hope you enjoy the videos of my daily life with me!

It seems like you get quite a different variety each time of so many fantastic Japanese ingredients, which is great! Do you normally have specific recipes in mind - or how do you go about deciding what ingredients to get? New subscriber! Keep up the great content ✨
Hellooo! Matcha is just so good, right?? I like it very much as well 😄 I should definitely visit Tochigi some time, I've never been there before! Do you have any recommendations when visiting there?
What was a shock for me ... much more plastic than in Germany. Same I saw dhen having a look in asian food shops here in Germany. And that package of vheese looked ... well sorry ... digusting. I think even in Japan it is better to visit real open "markets" 😂 there is also less annoying musik
That's true, there's a lot of plastic involved here in Japan! It's very different from Germany. Even if you go to open markets here, a lot of the things are still wrapped in plastic. But about the music you might be right :D
I loved the video! thank you for posting 💗I'm visiting Japan for a few months and this was very helpful for me to see the typical prices of things, and staples I should get! As a foreigner I get overwhelmed by the choices of products
Thank you so much for watching! I'm really glad that this video could help you in some way 😍 What places are you going to visit when you're in Japan? Or are you staying at the same location? I was overwhelmed too when I arrived here, but now I can navigate through the supermarket more easily haha!
Haha your comment made me laugh 😄 Yes, you can definitely see a motive behind his actions haha! Natto has to be in the house at all times, so when grocery shopping together, he makes sure that it gets into the cart 😆
Love from Japan to you too! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch my vlogs, I'm really happy that you like the content and enjoy watching ☺️ That's the biggest compliment!
They surely have everything to make you happy, right?? I also love shopping there! And it's so cool that you can come to Japan soon. It's always such a highlight to travel to one's favorite country ☺️ Thanks so much for your time to watch my vlog! Let's stay in touch 😊

Thanks so much for tuning in again ☀️ The trip was so much fun, I hope we can go on vacation many more times haha! The food was indeed really good, I didn't know about the local foods of the region before, so it was fun trying everything out!
Thanks so much for watching and for leaving a comment 💗 Teshima is kinda unknown; I never heard of it before actually. But it's a real gem! I enjoyed this place a lot. ☀️
Thanks so much for your comment! 😍 That's right, luckily, there weren't a lot of tourists at all! It's such a wonderful place where you really feel connected to nature ☺️ I hope you can visit this place one day!!
If that store is some distance away, why not buy a few more coffee beans as you can keep in the freezer for a long time. I know there's a cost in buying bulk but it outways the fuel n time cost each time.
Thanks for the suggestion! I'm always going by bicycle and only have so much space in the basket, 4-5 bags seems perfect for us! As out freezer is also always kinda full haha! But I'll keep it in my mind for the time we can make some more room at our place for bulk buying! 💛
Beautifully captured day trip to Himeji Castle and Kurashiki! Your video has me feeling like I'm right there with you, exploring the stunning castle grounds and charming streets of kurashiki. Your enthusiasm for Japanese culture is infectious! Himeji Castle is indeed a breathtaking sight, and I'm glad you got to enjoy the sunny weather. Kurashiki's canal area looks so picturesque, I'd love to visit someday. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.🫶🏾🤍
Thank you for your nice comment ❤ I appreciate you taking your time to comment here 😊 It was really a great experience these places and sights! It was also my first time going there and I was impressed by how everything must have been built so many hundred years ago and then I wonder what life was like back then! I really liked the canal in Kurashiki, it was such a pretty sight ☺ I plan to upload part 2 of our traveling tomorrow, if you're interested to see more of Japan! 😊
