I love LotR & The Hobbit so I've been waiting to see more about this game. It looks to be pretty interesting so far. The focus on cooking is a different take from most farming sims. I'll be interested to see how it develops from here! Btw, I went back to 22:54 where they introduced fishing, and a box pops up telling you to use T to pull up the tool wheel. 😀
I haven't played this but noticed that the icon of the meal in the graph when cooking is where you are now and the star is where you want it. For more Tender, you want to cook ingredients. Less tender, don't cook it and just put in bowl. Then you have smooth and crunchy. That's how much you chop it. Good luck!!
I am a huge LOTR/Hobbit fan, I read the books when I was 12 in middle school, I saw them on my English teachers personal shelf (at boarding school) and asked to borrow them. I loved the movies too. I love the graphical esthetic of the game, seeing as it is still in early access, much can be improved with constructive criticism and good advice and a wishlist, (that is how DDLV got to where it is today and it is still evolving). I don't mind the characters, they are quirky I also want flowers and braids and more outfits. I though the feet choices were ahilariously in story joke and quite fun. As I only have a switch, I am hoping for a release on the switch and at least perhaps the same 90 min demo to hold us over. I would gladly play it in early access for the switch. Caito if you think you get lost I am even worse, add no short-term memory to ADHD and dyslexia, and you can guess how long it will take me. In the restaurant in DDLV I can remember at most two menus if I don't forget it by the time I cook the first, thank goodness for the order bubbles. I always get lost in the mines too, every time. I am happy it isn't tinsee winsee graphics.
I'm so anticipating this game. I have to choose Underhill as my last name. I got so excited and got my LOTR/Hobbit addict smiling that they put that in.
I think with the shared meals it mentioned to check the letters in the post first the day of. I believe they will answer your invitation with hints of what they like in their meals. Really cute game! 🥰

Although technically in the books when a Hobbit has a birthday, they give gifts to all their friends rather than receiving gifts, so it wouldn’t be unusual to get a present (not food) almost every day. 🤓
Pulled a Full Art Foil and Ghost within 2 hours of starting the game! So much luck Wish I was there live for the stream, kept wanting to chat and tell you to "round" your numbers so you didn't have to give change.
