At 0:25, Nikol is really challenged by the black kettlebell; could it be 12 Kg? Her own weight at the time was only 21 Kg. She already had to work hard on the orange 8-Kg kettlebell. When she got to the bigger one she put on a very serious face and gutted out 9 reps. What a warrior princess!
Actually, I think the orange kettlebell is 6 Kg. Nikol already had lots of practice with that weight, more than 25% of her own, hoisting it at overhead repeatedly with one arm and doing pullups with that weight hanging from her waist. In other videos we see her working with a black 8-Kg kettlebell, nearly 40% of her body weight the time of this event. Not 12 Kg, but still very impressive.
This is an almost unbelievable feat for two reasons: first. this is a 7-year-old girl pulling up almost 150% of her own body-weight, and second, she does this immediately after finishing 14 pull-ups with almost 130% of her body-weight. Not much rest between these efforts; only enough time for her father to strap on the additional 4 Kg of ankle weights.
The term "dips" has a different meaning in the west. It refers to a movement on parallel bars, not what Nikol does here. But what she does here is very difficult and very impressive. As usual, she can't leave the bar without a little flourish at the end.
There's that signature flourish at the end. She won't just quit; she has to do one more inverted rep and touch her butt to the bar before dropping off. Her parents and her trainer are NOT forcing her to do this. She truly loves it.
Amazing in two ways: first, this tiny 7-year-old girl chins nearly 60 lbs combined weight, in strict form; second, when she can no longer maintain that form, she wants to keep going anyhow! What a warrior!
What's remarkable here is your flourish at the end. You won't submit to being lifted down, but insist on going up and over the bar even though you are exhausted. You are playing; you are creating art. No one is forcing you to perform--your performance is your gift of love to the world.
You are a growing girl, but I think the weights you use are growing even faster. 12Kg is more than 26 lbs, and 26Kg is more than 57 lbs. Here you show strength, flexibility and balance comparable to adult contortionists and fitness professionals who spend many years training to achieve the skill levels you show here. You really need to be better known outside of Eastern Europe!
26 Kg was your body weight at the time. 16 Kg is over 60% of that, and you snatched it overhead with one arm! That puts you in the same category as adult professional crossfit athletes. Wow!
Almost more amazing is that, at 3:38 in this video, you are supporting your body weight in a fill lateral split between two chairs, and in that position you one-arm press 12Kg overhead. That means your adductor muscles and tendons are coping with a tearing force of 38Kg. For an adult woman weighing 130 lbs, that would be pressing a 60-lb kettlebell overhead with one hand while in a full split between two separate benches in the gym. The effort would be incredible, yet here you bounce right up and continue with a really strenuous program.
Nikol is so cute, it's easy to overlook her iron determination. Also, for a child under the age of 10, she has beautifully developed muscles: biceps (which she loves to show off), triceps, pectorals and quads. They are a natural consequence of the many reps of lifts she performs with remarkably heavy weights. 6Kg may not sound like much to an adult, but her body weight couldn't be more than 36Kg, so it compares to a 120-lb gymnast doing pull-ups with a 20-lb dumbbell hanging from her waist--for 14 reps!
