I have a '08 E90 sporting the CIC with a MULFII (no TCU, no Combox), wanting to upgrade to the NBTeco id6 for a while now If i do not have a need for the BMW Connected Drive suff (weather, e-mail, news etc..) would it suffice to get a main HU with the gps Plug and not daling with the ATM? as far as I understand it: If you habe a HU without the blue gps plug you need the ATM for navigation and the online services but if you have a HU with the gps plug and no need for the online stuff you could leave the ATM Module out is this correct?
Hey, it looks beatiful, Ive also done a similar retrofit in a e90 although with a DIY CAN adapter. Which BMW subscription is needed for weather, online search, news etc is needed?
I see that you did this retrofit from a CIC unit. You said at the end that an NBT to NBT EVO is an easier process. What do I need to do to make this work for me since I'm going from NBT on my 2014 F30 to NBT EVO?

Excellent... I'm super excited to do this retrofit. I am already in the process of modifying my late 2016 F31 330d xdrive SE and adding a lot like changed the whole interior to Red/black like yours, all 4 heated seats and new door cards and black headliner etc. Both Msport bumpers and side skirts added. I have a 2018 Msport done car with a lot of asserieries. I am looking forward to add Satnav, m sport heated steering with cruise control, HUD, rain sensor, S6WA semi digital instrument cluster. I am trying to get some help to get all the extra, which I have added to be properly coded. Hardware wise, I have completed 90%. Hi Nick, having a brain freeze. I've retrofitted a CIC in my E91 and am having such trouble activating navigation. I have BMW tools, K-DCan USB interface cable and am following all guides i can find and still having no luck. I have added $609 to the VO and using NCS Expert, have coded the CIC to the car. Do i have to code CID also to have the Nav working? Thanks for any help.
Hi Nicholas, i am new to INPA and Ncs expert. I retrofitted my e46 with a digital aircon control unit. (used to be analog with switches). some of the buttons does not work. can you tell me how to program it? do i have to change the VIN for that module? thanks in advance!
So you just plugged the ATM module, connected it with the new harness and thats it? No SIM transfer from old TCB, no coding it/flashing it/changing its VIN?
I really wanna do this but my technical skills are far too weak to do this without paying someone to install. I had the system on my F15 and I loved it. Btw just so you know, parts from Latvia are usually stolen off of cars in Germany and Central Europe and then fenced in ebay.
Hi nick I know it's an old video but I have issue with my car or my inpa software I'm not sure I'm trying to code my vo/po but every time I try to open the software on the car it will not show the car vo it will appear empty I don't know its car issue or software I try to search issue but no on find solution so I will appreciate your help

The sensor does seem to 'learn' its alignment. I have a mid 2014 F30 with factory ACC (UK based) but I had to replace the sensor as it stopped working. I fitted a replacement sensor and it was like you said - it would lock on to a car in front but then 'lose' the lock, often accelerating into the back of a braking car! I took a look at the sensor bracket and it was quite wobbly and seemed to be aimed slightly low. In the end I used nuts and bolts to hold the sensor bracket to the crash bar and the lower holes in the plastic bumper part. It was very much improved but still lost its lock frequently. After a hundred or so miles of driving it is now 95% perfect and has definitely improved since the first drive after fitting - certainly enough for everyday use. You can also change the alignment values with ISTA. Some trial and error may well have worked there as you could adjust the vertical correction values up/down and see if it gets better or worse. If you are getting an error/fault before you even try to use the ACC then I don't think that would be related to the calibration/alignment. Technically the alignment/calibration has to be performed each time you have wheel alignment adjusted but that's probably BMW being a bit anal.
Don’t think so, my car is throwing an error for ACC misalignment. It gives vertical correction angle 5,6 deg up, not sure I can adjust it? I guess I’ll have to remove the front bumper and have a look at the bracket
@@dopiaza2006 Yes it seems to be fixed in both upper and lower part. Sad that BMW made it so that you cannot remove the lower grille and that you have to remove the bumper to inspect it properly.. The car have some scrapes underneath the front bumper so I guess that might have bent it somehow.. Seems to be pointing a bit downward, I'll just have to pick it apart sometime this summer I guess.. :)
