The posted content can be traced to Stefi’s on-line account. If I was her counsel, I would tell her, plead out. The risk of trial, for a first time offense, isn’t wise.
I used to follow her on Instagram when her content was powerlifting and gym stuff. But then she moved into more nudity and erotic stuff. Then she broke up with her long term bf and almost immediately had a new bf.
I traine with stonelifter and a testament to their strength is that if a guy is able to hold 160kg boulder more usual than not he is able to deadlift 300kg plus. I wish u could come and experience first hand
She looked like a sweet girl back in the day. I have not followed her for quite a while so cannot say, but her face seemed to have some changes. I am also quite surprised that Greg Doucette have not posted any video on this incident yet. I did not expect Bromley to come out with a video on her arrest before Greg.
Being from India, I would say there is no strength sports specific thing here. Instead, strenght training traditions are done by Kusti, or Indian Wrestling. They are utilising wrestling moves to move those weights, which is why there is so much emphasis on hip movements. I would not comment on the legitimacy of those weights, Pakisthan is not known from integrity anyway.
"The only reason this video makes it out to you is the support from the sponsors." Arent _you_ making these videos? And isnt it free to upload videos to youtube? I dont get it....
my nephew is currently training for the ACFT and told me they do trap deads. "At first"...i thought this seemed either dumb/ill conceived or some way to make the participation trophy gens more amenable to joining the army. However....after some research i found explanations for why....and they make sense. As others have noted here in these comments...the trap bar mimicks more functional movements the army requires of it's soldiers. But the one that made the most sense...is that the standard deadlift, despite not looking terribly complex...is infact a specialized movement. The army doesn't want deadlift specialists. It's not as specialized as say olympic lifts, but if we take into consideration extreme examples.....why would the army test your snatch? The snatch is prob the most specialized movement you can do in a gym setting. There's prob 1000lb squatters or deadlifters that couldn't snatch 185. It's actually a pretty annoying movement for anyone not an olympic lifter or crossfit dipshit. That research has actually convinced me to look into getting a trap bar for my home gym. My gym has one but it's in a corner where you're literally blocking the shitter if ur using it. I did it a few times and having someone open the shitter door and having to wait while you finish reps is a tad awkward. It's not going to replace deadlifts but since i can't squat heavy anymore it could be a tool to go along with belt squats or other things.
I agree.... im sorry but these weights with these relatively skinny guys seems a little off. There was a scene where one of the elders told the cinematographer not to touch the implement
This guy is WRONG. He has no physique yet thinks he knows better. Best coaches in the wotld my ass. I could train anyone better. Junk volume is a waste PERIOD.
I’m not sure of the science behind why it is or isn’t good, but smolov jr got my bench to 355 at 16, and added at least 10lbs to the bench of all 5 other people I have ran it with
She recently posted a picture on Instagram claiming to be a DV victim. I am wondering why it took this long, as in only after the arrest? Sounds like me like she is using it as an excuse. It makes real victims look bad. "oh I will only talk about it now because I have been arrested"
Volume is relative for each person. Everyone has their own threshold. If you are trying to or close to failure each set, then only train the amount of sets that allow you to recover by the next workout. If you are getting worse from workout to workout chances are you are overtrained. If you aren’t improving and remaining stagnant then chances are you aren’t training hard enough.
Sorry, but the guy called the great Gamma, his strength and endurance is IMO real. Known to do 700 Hindu squats, and old style Indian wrestling, he out wrestled some of the best in his time, even for how short he was. As ridiculous as lifting 500kg is, it's possible to do. Why? Because people like these existed: 1. Alexander Zass. 2. Bruce Lee. 3. Charles Atlas. 4. Ray 'boom boom' Mancini. 5. Rocky Marciano. 6. Samson. 7. John Holtum. 8. Siegmund Breitbart. Keep in mind some of these guys had freakish levels of strength, relative to their smaller sizes. It's possible, as unbelievable as it is.
This video is a PhD thesis. Essays on Bench Technique History and Development and Modern Standards in Powerlifting and Bodybuilding. Congrats Dr Bromley.
Doesn't matter if you're right or not, it's their land, and it's how they practice. Skeptic or not, that's how they do things over in Pakistan as more traditional strong men. Yes pretty odd for those outside their culture, but that's that. Don't bring in academia and laboratory level objectives from western culture onto those people anymore than you have to. Regardless of exact weight of stone, if you can lift it, you can lift it. Oh, and if you do go there, keep that standard of skepticism debunking the modern online western world is fond of.
@@AlexanderBromley There's no culture that has a monopoly on honesty, and each culture literally has their consensus reality, and what objective standards they use to determine for themselves. Sorry but epistemically, metaphysics, western standards aren't as universal as you'd like to think.
I just recently switched from bodybuilding and wanted to dive deeper into Strongman. Later down the line once I gain more experience I want to participate in local Strongman Competitions. This is a very thorough and informational video, you really explain everything very simple, and straightforward. Glad this appeared in my recommended, instantly Subbed. Also, how do we find strongman or strength events?
Respectfully, I think you might be autistically obsessing over the exact weight a bit much. I don't think the point of the series is "holy shit these guys in the mountains of Pakistan are legit world record lifters!!!" I think it's more to highlight that yes, traditional cultures all over the world pick up heavy rocks, and to show the different methods they have. These are definitely heavy rocks and cool impressive feats, no matter the exact weight.
