My Dad worked and retired from the Coke Plant, in New Boston. He also had rental homes all through Portsmouth. My grandparents lived right over here Hill on Milldale. That’s where I raised my daughter for about 10 years, after their passing. I live in Wheelersburg. Very nice video!
Great video! I live in Wheelersburg….grew up in Wheelersburg. Ive lived here my whole life. Unfortunately the drug epidemic did a number on the whole county. There’s not much to do. But if you keep your nose clean, get a secondary or good college education (like anywhere else) in a field, that is, in demand. You can get a good job. You can make a good life, if that’s what you strive for. Outside the city…in the country, is where, it is the most beautiful. If you love a small town and beautiful scenery, this is the perfect place to live. ❤
Be sure your scope is air gun rated. A springer air rifle will break a regular scope quickly because a springer recoils in both directions - forwards and backwards.
Keep trying different pellets. Most air rifles are pellet sensitive. You might try Crosman round nose or hollow points. They are quality pellets that shoot well in all of my air rifles. You can find them in every Walmart. Your dog is cool.
Learn how to load a underlever properly always hold on to the cocking arm while loading a pellet if it goes of while you have your fingers in the breach you will know about it ,safety first,
When we drove in, we were the only people in the campgrounds. My best friend and I decided to do a broad daylight, spur of the moment, skinny dip in that swimming hole. The water there is fantastic and it was a very hot day. Anyway, about 20 minutes into it, we were startled when a boy scout troop came walking by! It's a little harder for a girl to hide, haha, but the troop leader must have known because they marched by, single file, looking straight ahead! This was late 70s era morality! Looks like it's still a great place. Many picnics with the grandparents there, too. Fun memories! Thanks! 😊
I've got a 22cal 'BAM' (stands for 'Best Airgun Manufacturer' apparently, LOL!) DB4 which is essentially the same rifle. To be fair, although the quality isn't the best and benefits from cleaning & deburring, it has a certain charm. It was inexpensive, is made almost entirely out of metal and wood and shoots reasonably well. One of these and a tin of pellets is probably the best value possible to get shooting for not a lot of money. If you have one of these, stay mindful of the mechanics. I strongly suggest keeping hold of the lever while loading because if the catch lets go of the piston unexpectedly the sliding compression tube can slam forward and chop your fingers.
Hey Great video! whats The max effective range you can Hunt with this air rifle? I was thinking to get the crosman vantage But Since im new to air rifles it seems a Bit dangerous since the vantage has around 900 fps.
Ligit bought one cuz it reminded me of a sks might go iguana hunting soon since its one of the only animals that one can hunt year round in florida. Dont worry iguana taste good if you know how to cook it, so im not wasting any meat.
I miss my dog friend Honeybee boxer dog. We were joined at the hip and I was never hardly away from her. She passed last winter at 13. I was never attached to a dog like that before, not in all my 66 years. Good video bro!
I have the B3 also. Mine has a in front of trigger safety which isnt auto engaging. It came with a rubber shoulder pad and shoulder strap mounts included. So it may be a B3-3 or something to that effect. I put a 3×9×40 bestsight illuminated reticle scope on it and its shooting a 1inch five shot group at 35-40 yards. Im getting about 570-605 fps with the daisy 7.9 grain pointed ammo and 630-645 fps from the crosman premier 6.7 grain wadcutter ammo with a 3/4 inch five shot patter at 30-35 yards. The inner breech seal makes a big difference on the fps. The one it came issued with was pretty crappy and i replaced it with one that i trimmed out with a scapel myself. My fps went up 100 after that
The drill. Navy boot '60 They gave us old plugged WW1 Springfields with a wire brush for cleaning the unblued metal for parade drill I found it a bit fun Better than KP or laundry duty in hot San Diego Awaiting your demo with a scope on that undercocker thingy
You didn't clean the grease out of the barrel before shooting. You have to clean it, and then you have to put about a couple hundred shots through it to get it seasoned.
Optically center the scope on some v blocks, shim the rings or bend the barrel till on target. Maxed out adjustment will float the erector tube. If you're still shooting Gammo pellets, don't, really, just don't.
hopefully you are willing to respond my friend, im curious on the quality of the mounts the mounts I got keeps falling off every time I shoot the gun does this apply to these mounts as well?
@@trailheads313 on my computer, Google maps. The left side has a panel with a pic and options to get directions or go to the web page, etc. there’s also a pic of your kayak.
Good fun and value for money. There are stories of guys having their thumb chopped by this type of air rifle so make sure to keep hold of the cocking lever when loading to prevent that being a possibility.
Great video. The dieseling probably wasn't helping your groups. I have a very similar Chinese 'Lion' rifle from the 1980s and I love it. The only downside for me is the rather crude trigger. Thanks for posting 😊
I bought one back around 1990 at a gun show in a VFW. Couldn't tell you a name or model # but it was the exact same as what you have. Excellent pellet rifle. I had it for over 20 years until the plastic in the breach started crumbling. Great pellet rifle for anyone but especially for a young shooter. My current air rifle is also Chinese made, a side lever cocking .177, and it is bad ass. Got it through a sportsmen surplus magazine back around 2000.
