EJ- Ooo I joined the office sal, too! I went back n forth btwn getting the pack or just the pattern, and I ended up just doing the pattern but I'm having buyers remorse... only bc idk what fabric I could use for it 😂 when u get ur fabric could u let me know what colorway "ultrawhite cardstock" ends up being? If it's just white or has a mottling to it? I plan on just doing the dmc conversion but the fabric is stumping me lolol. I wish I just got the pack but idw2 double buy the pattern now 😂 🤦♀️🤷♀️ can't wait to start it, tho! I actually want to try n keep up with it but we'll see lolol Love both ur ongoing wips, ladies! Happy stitching 🐈⬛🪡❤️
On the glue subject, the brown bottle with a brush is rubber cement. The glue kids liked to eat was Elmer’s School Paste. I do also remember peeling Elmer’s glue from my hands! And I also remember Mucilage! That stuff was so gross! You both did a lot of stitching this past week! I am so glad that you were not affected by Helene! Hope you both have a good week and I look forward to seeing what your new starts are!
Shelia. The brown jar glue was rubber cement which we couldn't use anymore cause the kids would sniff that glue. I remember we had a glue paste that some of the kids would eat
We talk about delusional counting all the time. Which is completely underestimating how much stitching is left on a project. But this is the first time I have seen delusional pointing. I was laughing so hard I was crying. Thanks.
Oh my goodness. The colours you are using for your “Put A Bird On It” SAL are just amazing! That SAL starts 2 days after my birthday so I feel pretty tempted to call that my birthday start this year.
Hi....I'm ashamed to admit that my 'unicorn' project has been wip since at least 1998. I refound it during the pandemic when we were all cleaning the entire house. That was also the year I restarted stitching and I still haven't finished it. You may have shamed me into finishing by 2025! Regards from ABQ.
When I was in the first grade I had to sit next to a kid who ate the paste out of the round jars with the brush. He was always begging me for my glue and I got in trouble for talking more than once because I was telling him no.
LMAO! #flipthebird 😂. I can’t with you two and the 10 min convo about eating glue! There used to be a glue that was a paste that was off white and came in a jar and the inside of the lid had a stick attached and you would dig out the glue with it and spread it on your paper. I think that was the glue that they were eating back then. While I haven’t tasted glue, I’m thinking glue tastes like glue LMAO 😂
Great video. I am so glad that I have found your floss tube. You girls make me laugh so much. Can't wait to start the Put a Bird on it sal. Till next time.
Happy to hear y'all are safe💜also had Vicky from stitch n button on mind. Not on socials so idk how everyone is till they make a flosstube. Beautiful work ladies n happy stitchin!
Love your flosstube and stitching. I always look forward to it every Saturday night about 10:30. I am joining The 2025 Sal bird stitch. I will use DMC ON 32 count. Looking forward to stitching with you
Glad you all are safe and got so much stitching done. All of your WIPS are so pretty and you both stitched a lot. Congrats. Beautiful floss colors, fabric and whar an amazing bag. Im waiting on fabric, havent chose colors of floss yet, but I'm getiing excited.
So so so honored that y’all are going to pull out some SS WIPs in October! Some clarification: my sale ends tomorrow and it’s only for email newsletter subscribers. BUT, my annual Birthday Sale will be starting Oct 1 and will run all month! Details to come on IG and via email. And Tree Medley is charted all in Roxy floss! 14 gorgeous colors, all variegated, some more than others. DMC conversion also included. And yes, the colors in the border are all used in the trees. I’ve been trying to resist Put a Bird on It but y’all are wearing me down! EJ - I think you said last week you were planning to work on You Belong to Me for EWF Day? And you said it was going to be your 30-minute-a-day focus. Shelia - those extra Roxy colors look so compatible with the bag, I’m wondering if they came with it, which is something I know they offer sometimes. Glad you both were spared by Helene. My area of metro Atlanta was too, thankfully.
I could barely catch my breath as the two of you got me laughing so hard! I'm so glad you are safe as I continue to pray for those in other areas and other states who may not get power restored for 2 to 5 weeks.
When I was little I use to eat the Elmer's white paste glue in Kindergarten LMAO! My kids also did the same thing but they outgrew it. I think it's the texture of the paste or just curiosity.
You two make the best videos ! They are so interesting with beautiful stitching yet so entertaining - love your sense of humor - always continue your beautiful stitching
Beautiful Sampler!! Would you show the book you created a couple years ago that you stitched with the different specialty stitches again? You both inspired me.
Vikki Clayton is so nice to work with. I asked her to do a conversion for Put a Bird On It! I may put in a few threads before the SAL starts to babe sure the colors will work with my fabric.
