I just use my pocket knife. Way better because it makes a tapered groove that actually grabs the line. The deeper it goes, the tighter it holds! Just use the saw once! And what if you’re off the mark by a little? Now a convenient ‘Pro Tip’ turned into a pain in the ass!! Just press a blade into the wood! I’m actually using this very technique on foam board insulation to pop lines.
Yes knives work as well but I already have the saw in my hand and it’s going to cut a great line. Usually this technique is for rough framing not finish work that the difference of 1/8” isn’t going to matter
It’s not about speed . More speed in time it will damage the pipe . Slow and steady. I use to have a snake that I have to turn my hand for 7 yrs it was a pain . I got a m12 power Milwaukee. It’s similar and does the job
You are right! I think at this time I made the video I got the bright idea to record a video after the clog was already cleared, I think that was my reasoning and a sleeping newborn I didn’t want to wake! This bad boy has served me well for the duration I’ve owned it. Thanks for commenting
@@steverone7623 ah yes instead of using the hook that comes with the chalk box, I’m gonna add the extra steps of locating my saw, and cutting a notch for my chalk box with a hook at the end. It’s taking extra time and time is money, you loose money that way.
@@ConnorBriscoe well you already have the saw right there at the cut table so there’s that. Obviously you never hooked your chalk line to a 16ft board and walked to the other end to have that little stupid hook fall off, this just gives a place for the hook to rest
@@steverone7623 I’ll give ya a truck so the hook never comes off, low angle while walking to the other end, and put tension on your line, just a light bit of pressure on the line.
@@steverone7623 I checked, and they do not sell it anymore. They last sold an endoscopic camera 7 to 9 years ago. Because that is what I found on RU-vid. It is weird that they don't, because the are made by the same manufacturer as milwaukee. That is "TTI".
I have a clog somewhere between the toilet and the shower. (Yeah the toilet's backing up into the shower - first floor/slab.) Is it better/easier to g through the toilet and down or the shower? I suspect it's caught at the join. I'll likely have unclogged it by the time you see this, but appreciate your input and your video. Just bought one of these.
Ok dude go make some videos about your video games and Ill make a new video about my Dewalt 20volt deep cut bandsaw. This one in the video was purchased for all-thread cutting. King butthurt giving me views thanks 🙏
Make sure to subscribe and hit the notification bell, I’ll make a video later with all three of my bandsaws and showing the advantages and disadvantages of each and why I have three different band saws, ryobi, Dewalt and Milwaukee!
Nice... I have all Dewalt tools, But I did not want to buy a $300 Dewalt drain tool for minimal use so I bought the Ryobi drain cleaner tool only and then I bought a Dewalt to Ryobi battery adapter… That way I did not have to buy a Ryobi battery and charger just for one tool that will rarely get used, but nice to have when you need it
Thank you, one thing I’ve started doing since I made the video was start spraying down the cable with wd40 as it likes to rust and make sure to keep the drain open on the drum and on the bottom
For the price point, you can’t go wrong. With this tool, I bought it specifically for cutting all thread, goes right through it and I don’t have to worry about the threads being messed up. It’s comparable to the M12 I think in size
Which dewalt is it?. Maybe you could make a video showing how strong your dewalt is? I made the video for someone interested in what this particular impact gun could do. I’ve had it a while now and it hasn’t let me down. Motors, tires, lawn tractor blades, and it eats lag screws up. Ryobi claims 220ft lbs of torque. I’m not familiar with a 1/4” impact putting out more than 117ft lbs based on what I just looked up from dewalt. Also this gun cost $99 bare tool so good value for the price point
Hi Steve, you really shouldn't use rubber gloves with a power auger, they can get caught and wrap around the snake causing injury, you need a good pair of leather gloves.
That’s a good tip, I would go a step further and say good tight fitting leather gloves. I had loose gloves on before and it just almost caught it while snaking a main a few years ago
nice tool however this guy doesn't not know how to operate the equipment maybe call a plumber next time.. reverse is not for pulling the snake out the pipe it's for dodging the tip when it gets stuck only
Mike Evans ok so you make a video showing exactly how it’s done and I’ll criticize you. Comment section is full of people I helped so go pound sand pal
PhillyWiz just used it to clear a clog for my brothers kitchen sink. It’s not something I use everyday, but when I need it, it’s sure nice to have! Thanks for watching
Five hundred 20s thank you for watching and commenting, I wish you luck with all future ryobi tools, I paid out of pocket for all mine and the only one I can complain about is the multi-tool ossiliator. When my second fine broke I spent the extra $35 and went with a makita
@@steverone7623 Probably the weakest 3/8 impact wrench made, but that's what I like about it, it keeps me from breaking small fasteners. The Ryobi P340 multi-tool is garbage, I can't believe they still haven't upgraded it after all these years. I also can't believe it still uses an Allen bolt for the blade.
Great tool I recently got one and it worked great. I just let a friend borrow it for there tub. I shared your video as how to use it since your video was the clearest and straight forward I found. 👍👍👍👍👍
I know a guy on Instagram, in Ireland that has a 1980s G20 van with the 6.2 in it actually. It's a great economy motor that's for sure I was getting 20-22mpg highway before I made it heavy with the flatbed
At least we can tell you've actually used your tools. Some of these guys on RU-vid review tools and there isn't a spec of dust on them so they were clearly taken straight out of the box and given a glowing review. I've got a bunch of Ryobi ONE+ tools. Most are great, but occasionally some are duds. Anyway, thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching! Yes all these tools were bought with my own money. Currently waiting for ryobi/home depot warranty my 15gauge nailgun that took a crap recently
