Welcome to Orpha Beatrice! I'm Kristin, the creative behind the the brand. OrphaBeatrice began as an attempt to honor my Grandmother, a farm girl from Missouri who married a handsome soldier and went on to become the matriarch of a great family. It wasn't until becoming a Mother myself, that I realized her quiet strength, the care she took in thankless work, and the discipline she showed as a God fearing woman. I cherish the items she made for me. I love creating heirloom quality projects using modern design principles and believe that when you have a talent for something, you should share it! My goal is to empower, inform and inspire the creative in you and bring new skills to your makers toolbox . Thanks for subscribing ! Let’s make something!
Thank you for your video. Have you ever had spots from the glue left on your fabric after washing your quilt? I have had this problem using another brand of school glue. Thank you for your response!
I’ve never once gotten anything or had a love life so I never celebrate Valentine’s Day gross I hate getting hurt by the ones you thought that loved you for you but changed and went to other guys even in school never got cards never got candy from any other student I was always left out
I really love this technique. And we don't have to buy a Cricut and heat press! You could trace over many other things as well. Thanks for such a great idea!
As usual n oi matter what you use there's no, or almost NO difference in gloss or the way it looks. Just protections from stains is all I conclude and all the rest is simply worthless hype. I did mine and nothing looks one big glossier or brighter.
Thank you for the instructions. Clear and concise. Great for a first time user who is new to crafting. Just subscribed. Looking forward to seeing your other videos. Thanks again
I am shortening some shorts for my daughter, and I don’t want to have to get out the sewing machine! Another fabric that does not dry clear with fray-check is silk dupioni, which is a shame, because it frays so easily. You are an excellent teacher, giving clear and understandable info in an approachable way that makes me feel that I can do this!
Thank you for showing just what I needed to know. I will be using Fray Check on velvet that has to be washed and steamed before use. So far the edges of the fabric have bled some dye color on the the paper beneath the fabric. That is okay with me because in the long run the edges will not show when my project is finished.
So the initial application is spray, wipe, wait 2 minutes then buff out with a clean cloth. How about if a 2nd coat is needed? Do I wait an hour for it to cure then add the 2nd coat?
I’m using iPhone , and all the videos I’ve seen allows you to hard press on text but I cannot do that My phone and app is all up to date. Is there something I’m missing?
@@tatiyanamonet exactly! I’ve spent countless hours searching video after video but none not one addresses this exact issue. Let me know if u find a solution! 👍
Bit of a stretch to ask here maybe, but could you use this on an intentionally distressed end to lock it in and keep the look without allowing further fraying?
Thanks! Still deciding cause it's sorta meant to look homemade and kinda crappy, but I'm thinking of using this on a homemade Spider-Man costume! Got a week to decide before the con so we'll see!
Elmers glue is so awesome! I used Elmer’s glue for fabric painting and it washes out so easily. I’m going to try is on my latest quilt. Will still work great with the pool noodle method.
The information that comes with fray check says its quite dangerous/poison and u should work carefully with it. So i wouldn’t recommend using your fingers
Let's say I'm shinkulted some fabric and have some tension mishaps on the back, usually nesting. Can I use this on that stuff and trim away the excess?
