Thats a good truck you have. Mine lasted 134000 or abouts and the thermostat got stuck closed causing the engine to over heat. The cylinder heads yes, both of them warped because of the over heat and totally destroyed my engine. I had to rebuild it and it was not cheap. rebuilt heads went in and to say this I am scared to drive my truck because I have no trust in it. I learned that the heads are made of poor quality aluminum which could not withstand the temps. I also learned that it happened to thousands of trucks that had the 4.7. There are a few that happened to the 3.7 engine but mainly the 4.7. I love my truck but I have no faith in it.
@@litleElmo mine has the 5.9...I've replaced the computer and front control module.water pump twice and power steering twice other than that runs like a champ
@@361outlaw5 You are so lucky to have the 5.9. Hardly anything goes wrong with those engines. Just routine maintenance and your all set. My dad has a 5.9 and needed water pump, spark plugs, wires and coil after 100000 miles. Oil has to be changed alot now lol. Trans fluid also. Still drives at 400000 plus miles. Take care of your truck. You got a deal on it.

Yes, The fuel pump should supply fuel to the engine while cranking. If no fuel then check fuel pump relay, Pump fuse, check fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, accident momentum switch.
Mine 2002 doesn’t give any light on dashboard 😞 completely dead. Don’t know why. I disconnected the battery and put it back and tried to start the truck and just gave a sound and everything shut off nothing on dashboard 😞
Can you give me a hand with a. Video for a headlight on the front driver side I keep having issues saying lamp out and it flashes some times and turns on some time? Maybe wiring work? I bought it off a fella that was in Cali
OK. To find out which one is out, just turn on all your lights including the emergency flashers. Just makes it faster. More than likely it will be a smaller bulb instead the headlight.
I own a 2002 Dodge Ram Van 1500 that won’t pass inspection bc the airbag light won’t come on. Everything else on the van checks out. The shop I take it to for the inspection recommended replacing the cluster which seems a bit extreme for an airbag light. I’ve checked the fuses and that doesn’t appear to be ok. Pls advise.
@@litleElmo I can tell you with 100% confidence that it’s definitely not the starter/solenoid. I was able to by pass it, using a standard push button, and as long as I have the key/turned to the run position, it starts right up, and I can also hear the relay click every time I try to use the key, but I’m no electrician, idk if the relay can still be bad or not.
Check your plug connections under your instrument panel and connection at the pcm under hood passenger side firewall. Make sure they are clean and dry or it will not work.
@@tinovo375 Have you checked for the code number? Do the process like on my other video and look up the code. You have to use the ignition switch to get the code. After you get the code then look it up on the internet and replace the bad sensor and erase the code.

Just fyi, on my 2003 Ford focus LX, this comes up as the Power Hold relay. Mine shows the Starter Relay as being under the steering wheel compartment, behind the bolted on brackets. Just thought I'd share this info. Thank you for this video!
@@JGGarcia-kh8uq mine turned out to be a faulty starter. I would take it to get tested and it would pass wonderfully. After I replaced everything else, I decided to replace the starter, haven't had issues since.
Yes true about cast iron headers for regular vehicles , however, aluminum heads are lighter and can be repaired if needed. Once a cast iron head is ruined that’s it. No repair can be made and must be replaced. That becomes pretty expensive if you race your car.
