I like both Kpop and Jpop but I like Jpop more because of the diversity and experimentation. In Jpop anything goes. I mostly like the alt idol scene but I like others as well. Some recommendations are some of the Wack Group such as BISH, BIS, Gang Parade, EXWhyZ, and ASP. Necromidol, that incorporates darkwave and black metal. You'll Melt More. Some might recognize Ano who is gaining popularity in Japan and two songs with Lilas Ikuta. She was a former member. Her line up is soften considered peak Youll Melt More . Maison Book Girl whose sound and image was almost innocent, ethereal, whimsical but also melancholic/mournful, dark, haunting and somewhat creepy. Some of it almost sounds like listening a perfect dream. Too perfect that you can't shake that something is off. They are also known to make use instrumentation such as woodwinds and xylophones. They are also known for their use off odd time signatures.
I’ll never forget that moment when I was watching Korean StarCraft OSL 2009 opening and just casually saw Kara’s performance on stage. That classic‘butt dance’ part in Mister hit me so hard, that I can still feel the striking sensation.😅

It's a difference about marketing. Japan has bigger domestic market than South Korea. So Japan keeps their originality and has diversity of music. But South Korea has to aim overseas market as national policy, so kpop music is more like American and almost one pattern through same idle system. About idle industry, I think most Kpop idols are better than Jpop idols. But I hate kpop. Because lot of injustice like fake numbers of SNS views and controlling rankings. It's a dirty way to appeal.
SKZ well deserves all the accolades and awards, because they do create and produce all their own music. They are my favorite group! Amazing talented members.

I‘m going to a Straykids concert in two weeks but I don’t know if I‘m allowed to bring my own Lightstick (since it is only allowed to bring small things) and I’m not finding anything where I can be sure to bring the lightstick without any complications 😭😭

She is the ONLY other kpop artist to get me to buy physical releases. She now sits in a small list with Boa. I adore Nayeon and really want to see more from her solo work.

@@JonathanMillerMusic I feel the same. I listened to it in one sitting and it flowed so well that I didn't even realize I had looped back to the beginning. The production and craftsmanship that went into this is top notch. Shout out to that "thank you, next" track 😂 loved it. There's a few others that have riffs that have that *this sounds like something else* quality but more like a melodic sample than a copy. All very well done.
@@JonathanMillerMusic Loved all the songs, but if I were to put it in order: ABCD, Butterflies, Heaven, and then the rest follows. I tend to go for the more R&B style.

Seriously she deserves ALL THE ALL When you listen to her albums they seep into your bones. You should be the one critiquing her albums in newspapers. Not the people who don’t dive deep. When you hear a song and immediately google “who is this about!!!” But WHO IS FORTNIGHT ABOUT! Tell me!!!😮
