The Sacramento Garden Railway Society is a garden railroad club formed to help our community enjoy large scale model trains, indoors and outdoors. We were founded in 1985. On our channel we feature videos from our club members home railroads as well as from events we attend.
Super. I love the whole "K" series of D&RG narrow gauge 2-8-2 Mikado steam locomotives, and your K-37 #490 is looking mighty fine. K-28 #478 is my favorite. An incredible layout. P.S. Wouldn't it be "Fn3" scale, narrow gauge, and "F" scale, standard gauge? Hello from the Tracy Mountain Railway in Colorado. 💙 T.E.N.
Olá, sou do Brasil. Linda ferrovia.
Super. 💙 T.E.N. Edit: Wouldn't that be Fn3, as in 3' narrow gauge from (F) scale on G gauge track, like HO and HOn3? Is there a standard gauge "F" scale? 💙 T.E.N.
F scale uses the same track as G scale but the track represents 3’ foot narrow gauge trackage as opposed to representing 4’ 8.5” track. So the locomotives and rolling stock have to be bigger than G scale in order for it to be prototypically correct. Both G & F scale run on the same track but F scale is much larger! 😍
I'd like permission to use all includng the interview to publish on my channel Traisn in the Garden with Dave. We promote garden railroading and G-Scale clubs. I know i can download it, but may I use it all including the interview? Please.
Love the layout. Sounded like engine sound was not matching up with / havng some wheel slippage as some points. There is a southern pacific daylight G scale sitting up ar my LHS. I have same setup, but in O gauge. I want the G scale setup even though I dont have the track to run it.... yet...
At the 2m 8s mark, what material did you use for that short wall the train is on? Is that some kind of bathroom tile set? If so, how did you install/fix it to the berm?
I certainly would not mind attending a National Railway Convention in Sacramento or anywhere else for that matter! Beautiful video and what a swell job, well done!! 🙏🏽🙌🚂🚉👏💖💯
I heard that he had mentioned Hans of Gold Coast Station and he’s 💯 # right. Hans is a great guy, I have known Hans since 1988. Hans has been such a great friend, I love Hans and Rachel so much. Thank you for mentioning Hans Mike.
It is always great to see what others have done as I have not yet started mine just yet. I have always loved trains and started out in HO years ago and then did and N Scale layout. I am ready for G Scale as I really have more room outside than in LOL. Thanks for the video and keep making new ones as it helps us all to learn from each other.
That's a USA Trains J1e Hudson. It's technically a NYC locomotive, but about 20 years ago USA Trains made a few in other road names, including SF, SP, UP, and Rio Grande.
This is the video that inspired me to start a garden railway. I probably won’t ever have anything as nice as the one in this video, but I hope to use a few ideas from it. So far, I have collected enough track to make a loop. I’m building trestle bents that will elevate the track, and will keep making them as I save for a locomotive. It’s a long term goal for me, but it gives me something to look forward to. To me, there is something magical about trains. Thank you for making the video, and explaining some of the things that you did to make such a great railroad layout!
To see all these layouts on here its beyond anything good thing to say about them just wow wow and wow owning something like these is..well speechless haha but way this one is done great job
That’s part of the Gold Coast Station exclusive “Black Widow” series. You may want to call and see if they still have them available: www.goldcoaststation.net/black-widow.html
