UPDATE: Hi everyone! I know I’ve been MIA since December, I just wanted to let you know I’ve been having some major health issues for the past couple of months and I’ve been in the hospital more than I haven’t so I’m not ignoring your questions on purpose, I promise. As soon as I am able, I will respond to you all. I’m just not quite sure when... I ask that you please be patient with me, I will be back as soon as my body allows me to be and the first thing I will do is reply to your questions and comments. Thank you all so much for your support, it means so much to me. Talk soon~
Hi there!! First of all, thanks so much for checking out my channel. What you'll mostly find here is card making videos/tutorials and an occasional haul video. I design for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge so I post a new video every Wednesday. For more information including details on all of my cards and products used, please visit www.happyinkdesigns.wordpress.com
The dies seemed overpriced to me especially with exchange and shipping but if they keep my sanity they may be worth it! Lol! 😅 I love your cards and agree about the border adding so much.
I agree!! I don’t usually get the coordinating dies if it’s something I can easily fussy cut but this is one of those sets that it’s worth getting the dies. 😄
WOW fantastic interactive cards Misty 🥰 I love the adorable bats, your backgrounds and your card designs ❤️ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx stay safe
Beautiful and hopefully simple enough I can make several! 😁 Unfortunately I'm needing to make a few of these. I love the "Clean and Simple" look to. Its so pretty without being so intimidating to newer Altenew's crafters like myself. Thank you, Misty. Tori
Thank you, Tori. It’s been awhile, but I believe that was my first time using those layering stamps so it’s definitely something you can do as well. 😊 I totally know what you mean about intimidating processes.
Your craft room is awesome. It’s really inspired me and given me some ideas for my space. It’s so tidy, clean and in logical places for when your busy working on a project. Thank you for sharing your magical space.
Absolutely beautiful card! Copics usually leak when over filled, which could also be from the manufacturer. Altitude can also cause leakage. I would recommend just taking both caps off before coloring, especially with ones you don’t use often. Once the ink levels decrease you may not need to do that anymore.
Hi Misty 👋 so happy you are doing better and have found out what is best for you, so your day can be the best possible for you with your health issues 🙏 I have missed you and worried about you 🤞 I love your fabulous card design, the adorable images and your alcohol ink background ❤️ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx stay safe
Hi Joan!! 💕💕 Aww, thank you for your kind words. You are so sweet. I’m so happy that you even watched my video after all this time. Thank you, sweet Joan. 💜
I’m glad you are back! Prayers for feeling better continually! Could you stamp a background stamp (or a border stamp moved around) with the sticky ink to “emboss” the foil on alcohol background? I’d watch you color and make decisions. I’m not very well practiced. I’d like to practice with you! Maybe set it up before hand so we could get similar colors/images. This was a great card! Thanks for sharing!!
I didn't even think about that but I would have loved to try. I have a marble background stamp that would've been perfect! That sounds fun to color together. I'd love to have time to continue the Kit and Clowder coloring classes that I was taking and then I could share what I learn.
My craft/sewing/office studio looks just as bad if not worse. I truly appreciate that you were brave enough to share this video with us. It is very inspirational an you definitely inspired me to “Get Shit Done”. LOL!! My cutting/crafting table is piled at least 3-4 ft. high with anything and everything hobby related. My work desk also has plastic containers and my big shot plus. I even have stuff in our gust room. I need to purge, purge, purge, and reorganize everything. Thank you so much for sharing.
First, thank you so much for this great tutorial! The clipping app is a game changer. I discovered that if you capitalize your search words when you type them in the search bar, you won't have to correct them later because. let's be honest: only a serial killer would leave the titles in lower case. : )
I really wish I would have seen this comment sooner because I literally JUST figured that out about capitalizing my search words... I apologize I didn't respond sooner. I've been dealing with some not so great health issues. LOL, couldn't agree more about leaving it lower case.
Misty, I lovelovelove this card had to set aside ample time to watch the video undisturbed. I also have kitties and seeing Trigger was a bonus. I lost 2 kitties in 2019 and 1 in 2020. Like you, I find comfort with the ones who still cuddle with me. Back to the card... this is absolutely stunning and cute at the same time. Your imagination and skills are an inspiration. I've seen Evernote but I was already invested in Excel. IDK, it may be time to take the plunge and make that change before I go any deeper. Thanks for sharing!
I know it's been a couple of months since you posted this, but I had some health issues that were holding me back so I apologize it's taking me so long to respond. Anyway, I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your precious kitties. Do you have any now? I have FIVE now. I just love them so much!! My most recent adoption was a beautiful blind girl and the teeny tiny orange tabby that she had bonded too. They both came from an animal hoarding situation. It's a zoo here but I wouldn't want it any other way. Thank you so much for your sweet words and of course for watching my video. I really appreciate it. And if you already have a good system going with Excel, I would just stick with that, if I were you. That would be a lot of work!! Evernote is great for someone that doesn't have a system yet. But if you do decide to switch, I'll be here to help answer any questions if I can.
Instead of tagging the words, I type the words and shapes in the body of the note. Then use the search function to find all the occurrences of that word or shape within my stamp & die folder. I use Evernote for every aspect of my life and prefer tags to be broader so as not to have an overwhelming number of tags (although it is already a very big list!) Also, I’ve created a template for stamps and dies with all of the information I’m tracking (company, stamp number, storage location, words, shapes, etc.) Thanks for the video!
Great video! This was so helpful. I've been making cards for about two years and want to inventory my supplies. You answers so many of my questions. Thank you!
I'm just getting started with working with Evernote and your video tutorials - both I and II were so helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to do these videos!
I listened deeply to your good video and listened to it, and it seems to comfort me even though my mind and body were complicated and tired. thank you. I will leave the hand of a good relationship. You have the power to make it wonderfully attractive. Growth seems to have a beginning and no end. As long as you have worked hard for your dream, you will surely succeed. We support! An algorithm like in the universe chose me here and thank you for the algorithm that made it possible to watch good videos I would like to give you my sincere praise and support with all my heart and sincerity for your channel to gradually develop into a very large channel.
I got it from IKEA. I have everything listed and linked directly to each item over on my blog post. I think you can just search for Craft Room Tour. Scroll down to the bottom and everything is listed. 😊
Hi Misty! Thank you so much for your Evernote video. I have watched quite a few Evernote/craft inventory videos and find something helpful in each presenter’s offering. From yours I learned to look at image size count, sizing a retrieved image, and the benefit of copying info to more than one file/location. Thanks again! Sharon
