Overall good video. Jim, brother, you tend to mumble when speaking. Makes it hard to understand what you are saying at times. Please speak with confidence, it's obvious you know what you are doing. Keep it up!
Jim please hit us up with the front suspension set up on the kx 250 F mine is a 2017 model I just picked up from a friend . I want to be able to loosen the from triple T as I feel it’s been tightened too much and also the axel bolts feel to tight , so it will be great if you could do a video on the whole front end set up and installation process if you were to change you’re tyres etc. Hope am making sense ??🤣🤣
is the scoring an issue on the larger cam journals. im doing mine now and have the exact same scoring, i was gonna hit mine with some 1500 to 2000 grit
You would want to check your compression, once your compression is low you would want to change your rings and check you cylinder. Also a good time to adjust your valves if needed.
how many hours can you get on a fresh rebuild like that if youre just woods riding?…..and keeping the oil and air filter changed every couple rides. Thx
Man you must have a lot of money to say that the XC is made for *putting around your backyard. They have the same motor dude. There's a reason why the xc backfires and there's a reason why it has less power. But just for anyone who's wondering who has like 450 EXc quad the header pipe does not mount correctly to the motor. This causes backfire coolant leaks and drop in performance.
Great video up until you used the silicon on the rocker cover. The last person to rebuild my 250 used silicon. You wipe the excess from the outside but what about the excess on the inside? My pick u0p strainers were full of silicon where the guy had used it on every surface and the excess on the inside had washed off with the oil, clogged the strainers and starved the engine of oil. Not only did the engine not last long but it needed a huge amount of work.. The manual suggests using a small dab of gasket bond just on the corners of the two semi circles. Excess gasket bond dissolves in the oil so doesn't cause any harm.
hey man i know this is an old video not sure if you even see this comment but it would really help if you did. did you leave shift drum have side to side play in it?
Told him we need to get the tool to compress the valves down to take them out and install so now just waiting on him to get that your footage is very amazing
