I "find" those bluffs cause I'm playing an oversimplified strategy where I bet/bet/jam all my range in 4bet pots lol. Actually my coach said that by doing so I'm like 40% correct according to the solver, but more importantly, taking advantage of the population's overfolds.
So the jam was GTO correct and we were unlucky to run into top of his range? Could you please summarize the learning because you waffled on a bit. Thanks u.
I would really like to see a thresholds for this spot on the river and then hear You talking about it. Looks like CO turns hands like 44 and 55 into a bluff, Value betting QT as the worst hand. Some trips are trapping which wont heppen in the real life I guess. Also some flushes are checking the river in theory. How do You think It will represent the real opponent in therms of overbluffed / underbluffed spot?
Is this jam a sort of value-bluff or merge bet? Even though you are not making better hands to fold, you are getting called by worse and you make your opp fold out a lot of equity against 99
We don't get a result for the last hand? I am results-orientated. I am a human. Sorry. I know I am not supposed to be a slave to the hand result but that is the way our human mind works.
I love the content from both of your channels. The one thing I'd say about this one though is I think the point about stakes below $25 NL not being particularly worth playing is about all that needs to be said on it. As a result, focusing on content of stakes higher than all but the last hand of this video would be preferred. Personally, I have no interest in seeing 2NL, 5 NL or 10 NL hands. In any case, I'm looking forward to more videos from you both.
The AK in Berries shoes perhaps become a good x/c otr exploitatively if he is assuming Linus doesn’t have a folding range at all on the flop. Especially if he likes to delay bluff hands like this and not float bet turn. Even just if Linus is the player to under fold flop and no assumptions on turn. It’s obviously easy to say in hindsight seeing the cards but it could be a reasonable explanation why he checks river if it is on purpose. On the river OOP often has a block and two larger sizes in spots like these. Many BxB spots are over bluffed by IP. What happens exploitatively in those spots is that the value block bets basically disappear and become x/c. The 75% hands (that can’t x/r but are thicker value) still bets and the stronger hands that can mix between over bet and x/r at equilibrium are turning in to pure x/r. A little exploitative trick that I have implemented lately. Nice video and gl at the tables!
Surely the Hero is a beginner reg who made a “polarization error” that happened to be a sick GTO approved bluff? Just found you through Petes channel. You seem very talented and smart and the way you think about the game is very impressive! What stakes do you currently play yourself?
In my opinion it's way more likely that a 50nl reg recognizes correctly the spot and uses this hand as a bluff compared to how likely it is for them to bet 3streets with top pair no kicker in a 4bet pot for value. Even more likely is that they check this hand instead of betting, that's for sure, but once they bet it they know what they're doing...my guess.
Excellent analysis, thanks for the video. Is the discord from which the hand is taken a public server? Can I join it? I play a lot of poker but don't have too many people with whom to discuss hands / study / etc.
