I don’t know how others really feel about it, but I spent the first 30 or 40 hours in Starfield exploring planets and writing resources in a paper notebook next to me. I greatly enjoyed making mining outposts and networking them efficiently, it felt like I was a pioneer, charting the final frontier for valuable minerals and organics, noting the living conditions such as gravity or storms, and making sure to document the atmosphere(mood) of the worlds; like if they were orbiting a massive ring world that would appear in the sky, or if they had beautiful scenery like ice trees or serene desolation. This is kind of the feeling I’m getting from the two trailers I’ve watched. Being a prospector.
I love space logistics, there aren’t enough “grounded”, immersive, single player space sims. Excited to see where you go with this. Best of luck (o°-°)b
This game looks very promising! I know that it is still in the very early stages and a lot of things will be adjusted but the crate just suddenly appearing after mining that ore node kinda broke the 'realism' factor. What if you had a mechanic where you had to drop a crate beside the node and then physically place the mined material into the crate? Another suggestion is with the voice communication from the POI's ,adding some radio static (like they have in Elite Dangerous) would sound heaps better. Just a couple of friendly suggestions for you guys. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing the progress of this exciting project 👍
I'm all in for another space game. They obviously make money too. But the bar for visuals and gameplay is getting kinda high. And the expectations are even higher. Only one so far, seems to be willing to try to meet those expectations. I hope you do well with this, and have great success! It looks like great start. Be watching more for it.
WE ARE ENTERING A GOLDEN AGE OF (hardcore) SPACE GAMES Alliance Space Guard Rogue System (getting reboot) Pioneer (getting interactive cockpits) In The Black Starship Simulator Flight of Nova and now, Planet Prospector! FUCK STAR CITIZEN, INDIE IS WHERE ITS AT!!!!!!
Yay another SC clone that will be wide as football field shallow as a glass of water and never be finished. PLANET PROSPECTOR, hey wanna be a courior? wtf
Already looks better than Flight of Nova! But for the love of god someone make a game with ambulation. I want to walk in and around these gorgeous spaceships, these flight sims are a dime a dozen!
Because at the moment it's the only minimum system I can test it on. It's subject to change. Once the game is more complete I can then begin a test phase and gather hardware stats from testers.
You can test the game for free now on steam if you would to know now if it will run But at the moment it's best to play it safe and state the minimum system I have really tested it on
This shows a lot of promise, hope it works out! By hope it works out, I mean I hope it not only succeeds, but most importantly learns from the failures of other big space games. Those games are good, but they have some flaws to learn from. And of course- here before the game blows up too
so easy to sit there and throw garbage at someone else's hard work and struggle, while the guy actually makes the game and you only get to watch. You look pathetic with that comment with zero appreciation. I advise you to delete it. trust me.
Using a direction wind actor placed in the world. And painting cloth physics onto the skelemesh sails. It's not to hard. Simply look up loth physics. And then lookup adding directional wind. Then you have your sails in the wind
