As much as I dislike PV surfers, I have to agree with this comment. No one likes being followed around by some random camera. That’s a creepy fucking ‘hobby’. It wouldn’t have to be at Lunada for someone to react the same way.
What did you expect? Filming them without permission. Ruining others privacy AND they’re probably locals happily enjoying discreet anonymity . Wish his arm was a cannon and it hit your creepy drone.
I don't much like drones either but that was Mike papillons that threw that rock Jenny papillon's brother I was her boyfriend for a couple years lived at the indicator house they were just spoiled rich kids grew up to be Bay boys until it all came crashing down they all got in trouble with their local s***the papillons weren't even from America they are from Iran they should just go back there surge papillon with a nice guy though he's dead now that was a long time ago
First off he didn’t ATTACK you and second if you fly your drone in front of us boys here in NC especially if we’re just chilling and wanting to be left alone we would have taken it out cause that’s just invasion of privacy
drones are used for surfing footage . bet if you rode the best tube of you life and you saw a drone you would go out of your way to see if he had footage of you

I seriously cannot stand flying drones flying/hovering on top of me over and over when I'm enjoying the sounds of the ocean during a surf session. I seriously hope we make these things illegal or at least make them 100% soundproof. This is absolutely annoying to people who are sensitive to sound and appreciate being out in nature. The Lunada Boys aren't even worth talking about--bunch of Neanderthals.

The suit identifies individuals who it calls several members of the gang: Sang Lee, Brant Blakeman, Angelo Ferrara,Frank Ferrara, Nicholas Ferrara, Charlie Ferrara, and Michael Rae Papayans, and Alan Johnston. ALL OF THEM FROM PALOS VERDES CALIFORNIA.
That's PV Cove (AKA Bluff Cove). Where those 3 surfers are sitting on the right is known as Little Reef. Lunada Bay is about a mile South. You may get some grumpy long boarders out there, but The Cove is mostly pretty mellow. Sometimes some of the Bay Boys will surf there (The Bay is unrideable when the surf is that small) and hang out on the rocks, but if you just keep to yourself there you'll be fine. Who is hassling who in this video? No one wants some jackass flying a drone in their face. Trestles, Windansea, Malizoo. Anywhere there are rocks accessible, you're likely to get the same reaction.
Windansea guys were assholes but most people just laughed at their over the top rages lol. But I do agree that you can't go to a localized spot and fly a drone out there up in a bunch of ppl's faces. They'll just assume u upload to YT and blow the spot out of the water and in this case, they were right

To all you people defending these surfers, this is at Lunada Bay where the surfers there are known to be notorious assholes called "The Bay Boys"... la.curbed.com/archives/2015/07/bay_boys_lunada_bay_surf_gang.php basically a group of super-scary, business-hardened, "affluent, mostly middle-age men" are keeping the waters free of outsiders by being dicks to non-regulars, the LA Times reports. Their disdain for outsiders extends beyond surfers; even fishermen get worried about dropping their lines in the water. The police, it seems, have decided to allow these old guys (they call themselves the Bay Boys) to continue to harass and, in some cases, assault people.
+SWWonders I would chucking a rock at it too. I know these guys have acted like they were in point break, but in this case. The operator was itching for video of them trying to do this. The operator forgot to attach the other times he buzzing them.
