Why everyone so woried about scratches!? It is a watch, not a expensive painting or one of a kind art piece. Every watch acratches, if scratches vory you, buy g shock and not metal watch.
I have this watch with the olive-gray leather strap. It fits very well & smaller than its specs, once the strap breaks-in after about 2 months of daily wear. That alligator strap ruins the whole aesthetic of this timepiece & shouldn’t be anywhere near this masterpiece, unless the owner is 80+ years old.
Have this and black explorer 2 as my daily. But I love this watch. Its stunning. Think I may add a exp polar. I’m on the fence with a sub, something about it just seems overly plain
Been wearing this for two years and runs about +1sec/day. Added a Forstner jubilee and it's nearly perfect. I might try an all black bezel I recently saw somewhere on IG. Anyone here tried the new BB jubilee bracelet and T-fit clasp on this watch?
Former Rolex Sea Dweller & Submariner owner here. Great watch but always lost time. It bounced between -2 and -7 seconds per day. Sold them both, pocketed $10,000, and bought a Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean and never looked back. Gains between +2.3 and +2.8 per day for the last three years. Hands down a better watch than both. (My Sea Dweller was the older model I will note).
I reached out to this lot to buy this watch. I asked if they did sales or any opportunity to grab it at 5% off the price so I could avoid 15% import fees on my end. They said no. I went elsewhere.
I'm 5'5" and this watch is NOT too big. My wrist is 7.5 in. Is it chunky? Yes....but all tough, durable watches are a bit chunky. I WANT a watch that is a little heavier and thicker than a dress watch. All I can tell folks is that if you want a small thin watch that's not heavy......BUY a Flippin DRESS WATCH. I wear this all the time and I love it! So well made and accurate and its made to last. The size complaints are silly. Buy a dang ladies datejust if you need such a small steel watch.
Yachtmaster blue, Batman, bluesey, datejust2 azzure, yachtmaster is best of everything! The case is super comfortable until you own a few and feel the difference it’s hard to know for yourself.
I was able to hold this exact watch with the rhodium dial in my hand. But I actually came across this watch because of the blue dial. Of course it's a lot louder than the rhodium dial, but for me it's somehow more lively and fresh because the blue reflects the connection to water well. I also find the contrast between blue and red very refreshing. Well, the rhodium dial was ultimately too boring for me. Why is the blue version not your choice?
The 42 mm version looks better and slimmer somehow. Proportion-wise, i think the 40 mm version will look nicer if Rolex adds 1.2 mm to the sapphire / dial diameter. So 0.6 mm thinner on the bezel and respectively smaller numerals on it. Thanks for the vid, man.
I’m gonna like all your videos even if I’m not interested about all the watches that you review, but all those videos deserve better appreciation and views ! Great content ! 🤝🫶
In reality why not make a couple of smaller versions for smaller wristed gentlefolk. It’s not like they eliminated their iconic sized versions, just added. Smart move to get a broader audience in becoming paneristi. IMHO of course.
I purchased this watch last year. I absolutely adore it. The slate dial with the blue 'ice' secondhand is mesmerising, especially in natural light. It's actually my second Rolex. I also have a 'Pepsi'. For some reason the Rolex Submariner doesn't appeal to me. I think it's got a lot to do with the fact I have a few Omega watches.
Good video and audio was fine. I always wanted this watch but I think it is too big for me. I think if a person already has a sub, unless they are creating a very specific collection or are a real diver, then i feel this piece would be redundant.
Funny, now that the BB58 GMT is out, what will you do? I also have the BB GMT and thinks it is a little big/heavy on the wrist and want to see the 58 GMT.
I wear it as a daily. It’s very versatile. More versatile than a Sub. It’s more slimmer, sleeker than a sub. Wears much better. Definitely more refined and ideal daily watch. And the curved case that hugs your wrist makes it very comfortable.
My useless opinion is this is a bad move by panerai. The whole appeal of Panerai was the go big or go home approach vs other brands. And people love this...panerai didnt follow any trends ..they made trends. Now they are trying to please and go with what other brands are doing by shrinking the case size and in return, the WR also takes a massive downgrade. Gone are those days of 300m wr panerai in 44mm case sizes. If ya want a panerai, look up the older models and get one in the used market. The new gen are horrible.
When I bought my PAM 111 over 18 years ago Panerai had 40mm Luminar options for women or men that didn't want a 44mm case on their wrist. So this isn't something they weren't doing nearly 20 years ago.

Dude, slow down 😂. Maybe just in editing you can give a pause between cuts to let the listener digest a little. Not trying to be a prick (that comes naturally) just trying to give some constructive criticism because I like your direction.
I own my BB GMT since 3 years ago and I'm really happy with it. Everything works perfectly and it's in perfect condition, i love it. I don't care about the res GMT's on the market because this is still my favourite one without a doubt. Many thanks for sharing and for a great video.
I purchased the blue gilt version about 2 years ago. I strongly suggest you get the white lumed version. I thought I would grow to like the faux patina but it never happened. Love the understated blue sunburst dial but the sun bleached bone 🦴 colored lume just rubs me the wrong way. I'd much rather have white lume that I could darken with actual age.
I've had one of these for two years. It's still in great nick. All polished watches by definition will show scratches more than brushed. Doesn't make them a scratch magnet, you obviously have to take more care, because they polished. And home polishing is easier with jeweller's rouge than reapplying a brushed finish after you scuff it. For colour and bracelet difficulties, get the black one with black strap. Two cons deleted there too!
