To add a bit of precision to your comments about democracy and the concept of a republic, the American republic has actually devolved into a plutocracy, a political structure governed by and controlled by the wealthy. With regard to the Christian preacher who said that Trump's emerging alive from the assassination attempt is a sign from God and that Trump has been chosen by God may not be entirely incorrect! For Allah does say in verse 14:42 and other places in The Generous Quran that He gives the evil doers a temporary respite to continue their evil until their evil becomes manifest to them but then it is too late!
