Is the split controller "combinable" and works detached? I mean this thing has a kickstand and I guess it would work better as a "portable" rather than a handheld
theory : laptop reviewer goes on about chassis flexing, keyboard feel, touchpad feel. manufacturer listen : metal chassis, premium mechanical keyboard, smooth feel touch pad. price goes high as fuck. actual consumer : can't afford. or, most of the time not feasible. why you want to check chassis flex? it's a laptop, not a trampoline.
Wtf is this? When the announced dell xps 9700 on ces 2020 I instantly knew that was it and just waited to order it day 1. Got it in July and still using to this day and I still can't get enough of it's premium and high quality feel! I am considering an upgrade because why not it's been almost 4 long years and this is what I'm supposed to replace it with??? Man no chance it's either gonna be 3rd series or not dell at all like how do you mess up 4 year old design 🤦🏽♂️
almost in all aspects Dell is lagging, I don't see a point to buy any off the Dell laptops, Asus, Lenovo and HPhave better product and better price, Dell wake up you are going to loose the game
Nah I don't think you were too hard on it. I like the previous gen better. The only redeeming qualities of this model is the slight spec bump in the refresh rate of the panel and wifi 7 and that is not saying much. At that price point go look at a precision machine. It is clear now why the precision line diverged from the xps line. Would like to see Alex review one of those. I saw the writing on the wall and I am glad I upgraded when I did because I would be sad if this was dells offering. Would be interesting to see how the x1 extreme would compare. I wonder who is actually going to by this?
I had a Dell that encountered TPM is not detected directly after losing warranty. Lost all respect and will not buy another product. I got the xps 13 9305
Can't remember it might've been an HP (15-20 years ago I think it was one of the first systems to use touch buttons) I failed a pre-test because I wiped away some dust and bumped the Wi-Fi button which crashed the software which was running over the network. I like my Touch Bar but nondescript touch buttons yeah bad idea.
I like that microSD cards are small but I also hate that they're small. I almost sent one flying across the room when I hit the eject button on a camera. I much rather have it in an adapter in a camera. Then was the other time when between walking from the front of the room to the back of the room to get the card I dropped it! And of course I needed to get the clip off because we had an issue with the stream so I was trying to re-upload it before the next session. And you also don't get the write protect switch!
I think dell lose his mind to make dump thing and price is totally f+++k if i wanna buy dell xps i would like to buy old models because of structure wise and quality wise is good
For such a big chasis, you'd hope that they would fit at least a full size hdmi port or some USB type A port. But no. They had to follow apple's approach.
It's a joke that you compare the 16 9640 with the 9530 when clearly the 16 replaces the 17" 9730. If you have to tell bad things for a product do it properly and clearly. So just fyi 9340 was 9320, 9440 was 9530 and last 9640 was 9730. Dell decided to remove from its lineup (at least for now) the 15 and 17 inches xps.
I wonder how would a 60w rtx 4070 mobile compare with a 4060 mobile with full power available, 115w. My asus zephyrus g16 from 2023 is having the whole 115w plus 25w boost available for the gpu which i believe might give better results than a bottlenecked 4070?
