I recently bought one of these, new in box, probably 30 years old. I didn't need to replace any parts, but your video helped me get it working correctly. I didn't know different needles used different venturis, fortunately my kit had everything. Thank you.
I know it's an old video, but I just bought a few airbrushes at a local auction, this was... 3 of them. This helped me a ton, Thanks. Oh, and great Video
That is interesting. I have noticed the packing washer gets is hard to clear of all colour without removing for separate cleaning, which I do now every time. Does it need removing every time, even when the spay is clear and there is no apparent colour. What do you think? The problem of course is that having spent all that time, you may as well have used an internal mix brush. Incidentally: it is worth it finding a photographic processor/shop who can supply fresh from the bin 35mm film canisters. Use a scriber to poke through the lid a plastic tube so that it friction fits, and then poke a small hole for pressure equalisation. After work cleanup is simple. Wipe the canister with a solvent (usually turps or metho) piece of kitchen paper or the like, then flow through the tube from the top. Fill the now clean canister with thinner and put through brush until clean. Then take down of brush is simple. We are talking about - say - fifteen minutes, and not much thinner/turps/metho. I say again and again: 'Laziness is its own reward; the gift that keeps on giving.' OBSERVE SAFETY INDICATIONS. I try and avoid paints I cannot clean with turps or metho. If you can smell it, you're getting too much. Thanks.
Hi there, this build was made and recorded 5 years ago before the pandemic, back then the hobby was much cheaper. Things in general were much cheaper then. Unfortunately, nowadays everything is way more expensive. Stay Safe out there and thank you for stopping by the channel! :)
VERY VERY IN DEPTH STEP BY STEP IFORMATIVE VIDEO..as i have yet to watch/see ANY OTHER FULL DISASSEMBLY N' CLEANING OF THE Paasche H Airbrush ANYWHERE On the World Wide Web!!!..Thank You Ever Sooo much For Sharing your Great Awesome Video With Us All!!!..Take Care, n' Stay Safe!!
Mine is a older Passche H airbrush. It has the same labeling on the top of the airbrush that the one you have has. I bought it at a going out of business sale from a local hobby shop 25-30 years ago. Its still going strong.
Did the booth arrive with that big dent on the left side panel? You can see the dent here at 4:57. It's very visible, about half way up the side. For as expensive as these things are, I would hope they had a little more quality control in the fit and finish of the product.
Thank you for the Video! My Gauge was working fine but I was tightening instead of loosening my pleasure and it was coming out too strong. Thank you for the reminder how it is supposed to work.
Thank you for the review! This is exactly what I was looking for. My generic spray booth has seen hell in only a few months - it's fallen apart. This will make things so much easier
I have a VL that still seems to work well especially being 40+ years old. Thinking it is close to 45 years old. May need to think about a rebuild but it sprays well enough for what I need painting 3D printed models. Thank you for the video.
Tip. Screw on the trigger button BEFORE installing the spring and nut. Otherwise, great video and great job of showing how to work on an H. BTW one advantage the H has over internal mix is cleaning it after using lacquers or enamels. I have a VL and Vision, but for hard to clean paints, I'll stick with my H.
I built a booth not too long ago from a turbro 4" blower at 190 CFM and a heavy duty cardboard box for a third of the price. Still testing it out but I usually can't smell anything.
I tried 2 different airbrushes with the same compressor… one works good and let’s you set the to 45 working psi (58 when trigger is not engaged) and the other airbrush can’t get higher than 25 working psi. Why would this be ?
Thank you for the kind words, I saw your comment a couple of weeks ago and it helped get the ball rollin' again. I just posted a new video. Best wishes for the new year!
