Please always wear a mask regardless of an high quality extractor, which this product most definitely is. As they will not remove every partical from the air. Fabulous review and what a great product. 👍

I bought one of these based of this review. I'm a model car builder and I like to paint in the house so having something that really minimizes fumes is what I seek. Thanks for a great review.
No lie, I don't care if the product is good. You need to take care of yourself better. Don't TRY and smell it. Put a mask on. People talking about smelling it are talking about post-paint smell and lingering smell hours or more after painting. It's great that you don't smell that. However, particles heavier than the power of the fan can remain in the air (for you to breathe) while you paint. This is why you wear a mask. If you are painting like this over a long period of time you will have respiratory issues when you are older. Flat out fact. If you don't care about shortening your life just to not wear a mask for a hobby, be my guest. But that's what's going to happen if you don't wear a mask while painting.
Shame they're not available in the UK - we've some decent ones in the UK, that work well, but don't look as robust as yours. Thanks for sharing😊👍 The filters being readily available and cost effective is a practical and ethical solution by the manufacturer - well done them!😊😊

This is definitely a worthy purchase. Many Gunpla builders say the only thing to not skimp are nippers but this is definitely the MOST important tool to have. Lacquers are bound to smell a lot and this minimize the problem tremendously.
Can I ask for an update? I juat stumbled over your video, great job btw, and am curious how its holding up? Video says posted 2 years ago, issues? Complaints etc? I am wanting a booth but don't want to buy a jenky one. Like you said, the older one just looks like a toy. Thanks in advance for replying with an update.

I grabbed this exact one from pace. Sadly it only had to holes and screws for the front of the motor, and no where else= no seal. Then somehow the seal for the back part of the motor ( which is just cheap foam) was put on the wrong side of the flange, making it useless. Sucks that what could be such a great product is so hit or miss on the quality of the unit. Glad you could recommend it, and got a good one, I was not so lucky for 275.00
I don't know if you're aware, but Bob Pace changed his design. I just bought the same booth you have, with the 2 screws, and the design actually works fine. Slide the rear part of the flange INTO and under the flat edge on the back of the exhaust hole. Then, simply allow the motor to sit down on top of the booth and secure it with the 2 screws. The holes should line up just right. The foam seal on the top of the back flange then presses against the UNDERSIDE of the back of the exhaust hole. The seal is strong and the mount is very stable. it's a gorgeous paint booth but please do not, i repeat DO NOT ditch the respirator, if you take the step to use 2k clears DO NOT REMOVE YOUR MASK. it's very very dangerous to your health. please, keep your mask on even with this extremely nice booth.

Did the booth arrive with that big dent on the left side panel? You can see the dent here at 4:57. It's very visible, about half way up the side. For as expensive as these things are, I would hope they had a little more quality control in the fit and finish of the product.
In the past i had a paint booth. Bought new! Around $200. Duel fan. Well i lost it during the move. Now i live in apartment, not sure how the landlord feel. So i thought of them and my creation mind. I have been looking for cheap vacuum booth . And here on RU-vid! Saw where people made their own. Fan in the back on the side and the bottom.. never on top! Of what i know of. The top so i had this crazy ideal putting on top. A cheap booth for homemade. All the fumes went up! And not out. For now i added a can on the side. Number 10 can. Big enough so my vent tube can fit in it. Filter for the fan and filter in the can. Just in case of spray! From the paint. I add air holes in the can. For its flow of air. And dryer sheets to catch the smells and the paint. Yes it crude but work. So in my opinion air flows goes more up! Then downward. Then side . Back. Bottom.
I built a booth not too long ago from a turbro 4" blower at 190 CFM and a heavy duty cardboard box for a third of the price. Still testing it out but I usually can't smell anything.
Hi . I'm on the market for a booth . This thing look awesome ... The extra space is deff needed compared to those other cheap booth I see on eBay ... it's doesn't look like it's built like a tank but then a gain I'm not planning on sitting on it . I 'm not 100% convinced it will get rid of all the fumes and particles (some of those metallic paints have really fine particles that are really volatile and I get some all over the room when I Paint ) I really need to find a solution to prevent this from happening . I don't really want to setup a tent in my apartment haha . Are you still happy with this booth ? would you still buy it today ? or it there an alternative as I am in Europe ? thank you for showing this booth . if you have any suggestion ... i'm all ears .
What a nice fellow Gunpla modeler. Liked. Looks good but that price is an oof. I'll definitely look into this one because I know I will be modeling for a _long_ time here on out

Did your old spray booth vent the lacquer fumes out the room eventually if you left it on after spray sessions ? Been thinking about getting the cheaper one and I have a respirator mask to use. Should I still be concerned ? Or is it still unsafe.
The fumes still linger in the air even after my spray sessions. The cheap spraybooth most modelers have just use a standard PC fan and don't pull/push enough air. IMO, always wear a respirator mask for your own safety while spraying.
I'm curious after you have had this for some time now, do you still stand by it in terms of being leaps and bounds better than the discount ebay one? I am looking for a new spray booth cause I too have the cheap 150$ one that at this point is seeming to be a waste of money. Thanks for sharing.
I’m not trying to be a brat by saying this but I’m going to make the sickest airbrush spray booth in the world from materials and components I’ve gotten for free out of dumpsters!
You called that a mid range hobby booth? Did you mean mid size? Metal that garage and build quality is not mid range. That's top end. Pittsburged corners makes that thing stout as hell. It's a joke that those flimsy plastic pieces of junk get sold for 100 bucks and higher. I'll be buying one of these for myself if I decide .016 won't work for the body well enough to make my own.
I think I could have worded that better in the video. You're correct, the build quality is top end but believe it or not it gets better! I called it a mid range hobby booth because while you're right that it is a very high quality booth, believe it or not, there are even nicer models with more features offered by Pace Enterprises. Consider those cheapie ebay booths are the low range of spray booth available, while the 24-inch mini plus is a big leap in quality in the upper mid range, it is still a basic spray booth. The 24-inch Super Mini and The 36-inch Deluxe Step up quality and features even further that I'd consider these two the High-end, and the Top-end. These two models add more features like being much quieter, have built-in lighting, and build quality is substantially more robust! The 36-inch Deluxe PeaceKeeper Spray Booth in my humble opinion is the Top-end of these hobby spray booths. But even that is an understatement as the build quality beyond hobby-grade and clearly top notch industrial-grade.
